  1. Anyone know were i can find the results?
  2. As stated above, I would only consider paying if I knew that 95% of the races were listed. there would be no benefit otherwise. I would still have to go elsewhere to find the events.
  3. As long as the weight is less than what it looks I would ride one
  4. Hi All. I am not sure who to contact. I have emailed both parties. I completed the USN Red Barn race this weekend, After purchasing my SAS board as well. When the results were listed on the SS Timing web site I saw that I was listed as DNF. I have emailed both SAS and SS Timing asking them to relook at my time as I completed the event. I have also offered my Garmin file as proof. I was thinking "Did my board register at all, did they pick up my start? did it not register at the end?" I know that it was tagged by the hand held reader as I nearly rode him over. Should I contact any other parties? if I was not trying to up my seeding I would not have issues but this race was a nice result for me so I would like it counted. Thanks Errol.
  5. He flew SAA, they only control the plane, it could have been BA or anyone else. ACSA controls our airport and they should be held to blame not the airline. just imagine if all the airlines had their own employees down in the basement sorting out the bags etc, it would never work. we claim to the flight operator and they claim to ACSA, I wonder what the operator gets back in payment??? I fly international regularly and with most of the airlines, touch wood, to date I have not had things go missing, even fire arms. we have had bags take a world trip at no extra cost to me.
  6. I am looking fir the same thing
  7. yes I am but I am looking at wheels and these don't count for the free shipping as far as I know, if they do then we can get together.
  8. I am a little late. can one enter on the morning for the 40Km?
  9. I have to agree. the fitter you are the lower your heart rate. there would be a known number if there was a too low, especially in endurance athletes. I am sure that you are fine. I remember during my school days while I was running marathons my resting heart rate was 42. Bruce Fordyce had a resting Heart Rate of 40 so it is no surprise that you could be down in the 30's. your heart will only beat as fast as it needs to to supply your body with the new blood that it needs. I am no doc but it makes sense to me, you can also tell if you are going to get sick, if you measure your heart rate every morning you get and avg, if this avg jumps 5-10 beats either way then a cold is on its way.
  10. Hi All. I am trying to fond out info on some wheels. I weigh 101Kg and ride the weekend worrier races and the odd stage race during the year. I am looking to upgrade from my Syncro's wheels, I am looking for a stiffer and or lighter wheel. The American Classic 101 with Hope 2 hubs or the Mavic ST? from what I have found the weights are almost the same and the rider weight limits are +-120Kg. The American Classic is R2K cheaper than the Mavics. The Question is which is better and why?
  11. My first add to this thread. What a kick to the nuts, AA. Sorry man. Broadacres is in an area were money flows so why go down the path of grey imports, fakes, etc? that blows my mind. I will be shopping else were. there are many smaller LBS that can use my money better. the thing that gets me is there are a couple of places that you can get a chinarelo if you want one without importing it your self, the fact that a LBS sells one is beyond me.

  13. OK so I get it the ANSWER is "HTFU" to get up and over the hills
  14. Ya so +-90 for the road but what is the most efficient for off road mtb.
  15. HI All. I have seen cadence being used around for a while now. Best is around the 90 mark. my question is for MTB is this value the same? in my opinion it is not as I have tried but fail to get my cadence up to 80+ on my mountain bike during a ride or even during a race unless it is open road, even jeep track proves difficult. Thanks.
  16. I like
  17. leaf from catlike is awesome. I have the red one and it stands out.
  18. I have flown over seas with Air rifles and no need to empty the air cyclinder in the rifle. those cylinders also run at 200Bar. if it makes you feel better you could drop the preassure but i would not empty it out.
  19. Dont forget that you will need a 10 speed chain as well.
  20. If it fits your budget and you like the way it looks then thats the one for you. if you dont like the looks you will never ride it.
  21. I was there on Friday. i must say i like the look of the store but thats about it. It looks the same as the Sportsmanns ware house store. Nothing for the guys who are already rideing bikes and would like to upgrade parts etc. went looking for bars and seat posts, i found a small section with maybe 3 bars and a couple of seat posts, wow. i was expecting a lot more individual items, Forks, Shocks, Hubs, chainrings etc. for the guys that have everything but would like to upgarde a part or two. oh well its back to the LBS or the internet again. P.S if you are going to compete in the retails market like this make sure that your prices are market related, i went to Sportsmanns warehouse and bought a pair of shoes cheaper than what you have them on special for.
  22. Nice. its about time that all the different fit techniques get together to at least put the basics down on paper.
  23. It could just be a once off incident.' but it could also be a fault in the manufacturing process, the glue used that day or week on all the shoes might have been tainted but who knows. take a look at the Fox thread, they have posted a voluntary recall on something that has happened once and might never happen again. that is a brand that you should follow. safety first always. shoes or shox the end results are the same. i would not expect Sidi to replace them but i would have hoped that they would offer you a possible discount on a new pair. but then again for a pair of shoes to last 18 months on a mountain bike i think is resonable, maybe, maybe not
  24. i loved the race it was my first stage race. strarted in G and ended top of F so i am chuffed. i had no issues with riders walking in the track thank goodness. we only had a slower ladies team in front of us on adderrs pass, but i think that if we had gone any faster i might have seen my ass. thank you to all the riders for their possitive attitudes over the weekend. i did not walk past or hear any sour POOOSSSes. it was an awsome ride, maybe next year i will sumit the top.
  25. Anyone know how i can get ahold of the CD via Aramex? we left yesturday and forgot to hand in our detials so that they could send us a copy.
