I was looking at something similar recently and was convinced on the ZTR Crest with Hope hubs for around R5500...if you light enough for them.

Sub 3 in my first Argus ...the rest of my goals will depend on that 1.

As far as i understand league events you will need the new chip PPA event you will need Racetec chip, so if a PPA event is part of the league then you will need to ride with both chips (unless you don't want a time on Racetec)...but i might have read some other posts incorrectly.

I'm keen for this 1, never done it before but ridden most of that route including the Odendaal Rd climb...can imagine it's quite the heart-breaker at the end of a ride. Legs should be good approaching Argus then too

I have the Scott CR1 Team, incredible frame! Very light, stiff and responsive...don't think I'd easily move away from it. Also the shock dampening system on the Scott's make a difference when riding longer distances, Foil should be very similar apart from aero benefits. Ultimately you should test ride them both and see which you feel more comfortable on.

Perhaps mention this on the actual event thread too...if you haven't already.
