My wife teaches toddlers. Some Modern parents think it's cool that their kids use tablets and phones for entertainment at such a young age. It's not. Buy them a nice book. Their fingers will not fall off and they will not fall behind their peers, they might actually be more well off. Over stimulation of developing brains seems to exist (IMHO). It's really not funny, or cool when an 18 month old has a book put in front of them and they swipe the page... When we tell propective clients about a parental control feature in a brand of router, where users can be kicked off the network at set times (as these parents cannot say no), some have an absolute look of horror in their eyes... Learn to say no. Yes I'm old skool, but it's worked for us and that's all that matters. Its Friday, as you were.
I don't know how I missed The Green Book a few years ago. Oh I do, we don't get out much and I normally fall asleep in movies after 8. I saw it on an international flight last year and have watched it at least another 3 times. Wow. Viggo and Ali. Masterful performances.
I do. That's why I try and stick to certain, non flashy, good quality brands. At least I can wear them all. Just like my carbon wheels now stay on my road bike. I enjoy them, instead of taking them out for races only, which I hardly do anyway. It is what it is.
Besides, if I were ever to remarry (again??)a younger sports model one day (I'm still happily married to my first wife), it would be on my terms, (reversal, are you nuts?) no more kids, dammit, been there done that, love them,not again... Pun intended. Seeing these grey old toppies on the beach with their toit young wives, trying to keep up with toddlers, is quite amusing and the thing of nightmares, based on a few hours of pleasure inbetween.
Mine is relatively new, so I havent used it a lot yet. My first couple of shots were really weak,but once I found something close to the correct diameter to tamp, it was better. I don't hike at all, but the last few times I did sleep in a tent at 24 hour events, my baby Bialetti on top of a foldable Cadac gas cooker was better. Bearing in mind you still have to boil the water for a Wacaco, unless your hikes are short enough to keep your boiling water hot enough in a flask for a decent coffee, it might be less to carry along, or about the same.
