To all involved, thanks for a great ride on Saturday - was good to meet 'new" Hubbers and put faces to names. PeeWee: I second your suggestion to make this a monthly ride, great training and no traffic to dodge bar the occasional Wildebeest or Eland. When we seeing the pics or do I need to pester Cervelo for that. PS: I'm selling "ringside" seats for the 06 October - Limited space, so book early. In case anyone missed it, PeeWee & Recall Cervelo are going Mano-a-Mano through the reserve!! Bets can be placed with Delgado.

Perhaps they are not making enough profit (Cannot see how that is considering that they use non-unionised labour) by selling their goods so cheaply to gain market-share, and therefore need to make up the shortfall elsewhere and perhaps they do that by shafting their consumers and telling them that the STI's cannot be repaired and you need to buy new - Just a thought....

Was just pointing out that Campag have paid their dues the hard way.... use it don't use it.

Anybody who thinks he is better than somebody else because of what he uses is a tonsil regardless of what he rides - nuff said. Interesting fact is that Shimano had NEVER won a tdf till la came along. Will also dispute the "fact" that Campag is catering to an elite few (If that is the case, would they be supplying Pro teams?) that is willing to pay a premium for something Shimano does just as well if not better - It is a fact, that for me, the shape and size of the Campag shifters are way better than Shimano. Would love it if the price was the same as Shimano but it isn't so I bit the bullet and bought what suits me best. Do you want some dip with that chip?

Ride what you like folks, if that jap stuff blows your hair back, so be it. If you want the Italian groupset go buy it. Having ridden both, I prefer campag. As for the patents, whoopee - We all know that if there had been patents when Campag invented and designed the quick release and rear derailleur , we would all be riding Campag. Also makes me wonder how many Campag fans we would have if dear la had ridden Campag instead of Shimano... Sames applies to trek bikes.

Whilst it is debateable if black looks good on a cannonfodder dale we can at least be certain that peewee looks bl**dy awful on it!! What did I miss with peewee and SBR and Cervelo and bets etc. Also did not realise that FIT is available in 3 flavours, I thought it was 2 - Vile & cannonfodder dale.
