  1. I use a Dremmel tool. Nice clean cut, no frayed cables.Schwynn2010-02-14 03:28:34
  2. I wrote CRC an email declaring that I am not accepting the CD, TACX TTS, as they did not mark it replacement, or N/C. If they have a problem with that, I want a refund. I am still waiting for a reply.
  3. Look for someone that just got a BIG skrik!!
  4. I called SARS and was told that any item entering the country, whether a replacement or not and regardless of whether you paid VAT on it, they charge VAT again. This is bullsh*t! The item left the country again as a failed sale, so in essence the VAT should be paid back, which it wasn't. Do I make any sense?
  5. I've sent a disk back that was unreadable. CRC clearly said when doing this to mark the parcel "damaged goods, failed sale". I did this. Now, one would expect that they will do the same when sending the replacement item. Don't be fooled, the item arrives and I have to pay VAT and clearance again. I mean, really, they could've marked the item as no charge, since it has been paid for previously, or am I smoking my socks?!Schwynn2010-02-14 02:15:02
  6. Well, it is clear as a bell to me, they wanted a Jetta II.

  11. Some drivel .Most road tyres have tread to channel water to the outside of the tyre and prevent aquaplaning. Aquaplaning happens when water 'piles up' in front of a moving tyre to the point that the pressure is high enough for the tyre to lose contact with the tar. This is especially a problem with cars as they have a wide' date=' short contact patch.A bicycle tyre's contact patch is so long and narrow that it displaces most of the water to either side and the water can't really build up in front of it. From memory, a bike would need to hit a puddle at over 120km/hr for it to risk aquaplaning.Edit: here's a link: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_ho-z.html#hydroplaningThe table in the link refers to aircraft tyres which have a roughly similar contact patch shape to bicycle tyres (though their's is wider, making them more prone to aquaplaning than bikes). I see that the critical speed for a 7bar tyre is actually closer to 170km/h.[/quote'] In that case I'd better check that my tires are indeed mounted the right way. My Garmin recorded me doing 156km/h the other day and I am not joking! Maybe pulling your leg a bit, but not joking. 12. Tell Me - Rolling Stones.
  13. I don't think you'll break your neck, but it will surely have something to do with the way the tire displaces water, grime and then rotational resistance. Please correct me if I speak a lot of drivel guys.
  14. Ai tog, hoop jy herstel gou.
  15. On the side of the tire you will find a little arrow indicating rotational direction.
  16. Captain, I don't think you are so slow after all...
  17. Always be wide awake when you see okes crossing the street or hanging around for no apparent reason. Plan what you are going to do should you be attacked. Think of a couple of scenarios and prepare yourself mentally for each one of them. Sorry to hear about your friend. Please convey my best wishes to him.
  18. Vodacom
  19. I went to the bank and had the debit order or what ever they use to take money, stopped. They also reversed the last payment. I think it is BS, how can the bank just dish out my money without my consent?
  20. I see some of these people complain about a yearly deduction of 150 - 200 bucks. My account is debited every month!! The shyt is going to fly very soon around here!
  21. I checked one of my bank accounts, one I seldom use, just to find that ELIM 3MOBILE seems to have a debit order on this account for R200.00. I have absolutely no idea who they are and where they are from. I have not subscribed to anything accept Tread Mag. How is it possible for these people to do this? It seems that everybody is in charge of your banking account these days accept you, yourself!
  22. It gets more exercise.. No, only joking, only the frame is standard, everything else have been upgraded. The weight loss was unintentional. The guys at LBS grabbed and weighed it one day and it came in at 9.8kg ready to go.
