  1. Spiderwebs are being spun all over the place... But I am sure they will get things back in order
  2. At the moment my Bryton uploads to Strava for the Active Dayz, but I also swim & run so I have linked a Suunto account as well. There is no trouble syncing from my Suunto Moves Count so I could try to upload .fit files from my Bryton to Suunto, but it will be a schlep. What device do you use?
  3. I rode there this morning and some trails have been cut. Routes were clear. Wet, but not too muddy. One gripe I have is the condition of the bathrooms (especially the ladies).... sorry but I had to use the men’s. It has not been cleaned in a VERY long time and toilets are out of order.
  4. I recorder over 4000 calories on Saturday and it is still not sync’ed. I was hoping they could give me Active Dayz for the rest of the year
  5. Second time doing this event. This one will probably be the easier one. This one tough, beautiful but very enjoyable event - counting the sleeps!
  6. Seems to be another scammer with the same MO as Daniel Williams
  7. She is still with Specialized. Boels is just the road team.
  8. She went into rehab for an eating disorder.

  10. Another zombie thread awakening.... Any new info on rentals?
  11. One more sleep... will be there in my MTB free ride shoes, mismatched kit and fired up legs. Bring it on, weekend warriors ????
  12. How many criterium races in SA have been around?
  13. It’s a ‘new’ racing format to the SA market. Understandably, this may, or may not appeal to the masses. They made the decision to fuse categories to ensure that they do not have only ten people on the start line for one category. The cycling community may take a while to adapt to this new idea, so their initiative can’t be bashed just because there isn’t enough interest... yet.
  14. Perhaps it’s full?
  15. This one is unfortunately a 200km one way trip for me... would have been awesome to do. At least the post-race video made it seem pretty cool. Will have to wait for the Diamond Rush
  16. I just remembered when I used to be one of the last ones to cross the line. Now I can also ride the full marathon at 85%. The announcer was there earlier - even called our names out - and we got medals. He probably left after prize giving. Well done on pushing through. Next one you’ll go even stronger.
  17. As expected, it was a USN race with a Garmin sticker. Had loads of fun with the added technical bits. Managed a 3h00 for the 55km.
  18. Are they selling vintage bikes and do we now have to pay with pieces of silver now
  19. Not at all. If you have done any races previously, you have been seeded according to your performance in those races.
  20. I am in the “try to be fast” B batch. Will hopefully catch up to some A batchers ????
  21. Will probably get seeding info today
  22. info@velocourse.co.za They might accommodate late entries on race day
  23. It depends on the distance. 50km is quite technical but doable. 30km is intermediate and the rest is very easy, consisting of mainly jeep track. Single tracks are flowing and fun. Elevation is quite flat - mostly short steep climbs.
  24. Ok thanks. So training should just be more relaxed rather than gunning for PB’s
  25. Perhaps as close to the fitness graph as possible
