  1. Its the V1 Roam I'm looking at. Whats the battery life like in "normal riding" mode ie not navigation? I get close to 19 hours on my Edge 530
  2. I can find V1's at around 4k and was wondering how much of a tradeoff it would be against the V2 and am giving it serious consideration.
  3. Thats an interesting option, thanks
  4. 😁 I already have 2 - Bryton and Garmin. Replacing Bryton....
  5. I like to have one head unit for my MTB and one for road. That way they last longer and I don't risk leaving it at home. So the question is another but used Edge 530 or something new....
  6. What would be the better option of the above GPS options, all priced around 4k. The Wahoo is the V1. Is the V2 very much improved? I have a strap and sensors so actually just need the head unit I bought a used Edge 530 a year ago and it still delivers about 18+hours of battery life.
  7. And they show the BMX but none of the WC MTB. DSTV are on the slippery slope to the wilderness!
  8. For pivot it's essential to use Max, which eliminates BMG etc. Max bearings are "full compliment" afaik with no race and extra balls as pivots don't spin but rotate back and forth between 1/4 and 1/2 a turn at a time.
  9. This is the upcoming YouTube stream for U23. Maybe we get lucky..... https://www.youtube.com/live/86YuT801VNo?si=WUIUb32_2240gRh2
  10. +1 which is a huge pity.....
  11. I think she said she stopped taking in 10 days before...? I wonder how long it takes to clear your system. Being something of a diuretic surely quite quickly.
  12. Surely if you're an elite athlete you work with a doctor that understands what you can and can't take, or at the very least you BOTH make sure. That is just so smelly......I used to be a fan.....no more.
  13. By cycling you mean road, not MTB?
  14. Path taken a while ago. Movies buffer too much but live TV is good.
  15. Thanks 👍👍😎
  16. If using IPTV does anyone know which channel it would be?
  17. I'd call bike shop and ask to speak to him. If no luck give him a **** rating and name and shame. His bad character DOES rub off on his employer.
  18. At which point to name and shame? 5 pages ago..... As Darryl would say: "Don't be a ****", or something like that....
  19. Nope, that's the Insured Event definition. The claim that got warranteed was rejected by .....Santam....
  20. Lifted from my Cyclesure policy document..... "An unexpected and unforeseen event. It can be a single incident, or series of incidents related to the same cause, that results in loss of or damage to your cycling equipment."
  21. 5 years ago my frame cracked. Insurance and Ombud rejected claim on basis that it wasn't accident-induced but "wear and tear" Santam via a broker.... Frame replaced under warranty. My bikes are insured and specified ....
  22. He didn't do his homework before this year's Epic and got riders wrong -yeah it's not the end of the world but it's his job ..
  23. How does insurance cover a frame failure if it's not caused through an accident? Carbon Trek Top Fuels are known to fail in the same place. Happened to my brother and warrantees without quibble into a new Suoercaliber.
  24. Personally, I don't get the allure of Pyga, and I understand that supporting local is cool. For me it's carbon every day. If you're buying second hand the crux of the matter is the mileage on the components and the condition. Having to service the suspension and needing to replace some elements of the drivetrain or replace wheels can cost stupid money, more than offsetting a price benefit of one bike or another.
