I'd LOVE to know the LBS. You're sure it's not one of those roadside exhaust repairers with the gas bottles and car Ramps? Frightening. I ride Sram Level TLM which were replaced TWICE under warranty. My (no longer) LBS used to answer my question as to why the rear brakes didn't have that bitey feel on the lever like the fronts with "it's due to the longer hose". I learned from YouTube and bought the Sram Bleeding Edge tool and they now feel identical! Good Luck! 🙂

I'd be super scared to buy a used e-bike....imagine having to fork big bucks on a new battery soon after? Are warrantys transferable? I doubt batteries get more than minimal cover? These days warrantys are against "manufacturing defects" which is such a grey area and difficult to prove.

I'm liking the above drill method. I use Enduroseal and gave albeit with some elbow grease used Benzine but it's dangerous stuff and apparently bad for your liver through skin contact.

Thanks. I had flat bar from Rapide but didn't like the sweep which affected feeling. What benefit would the riser provide? PS: Wide flat bars look cool.....🙂

I have a circa 2015 Adrenalin 29" and am considering trying the trend to a shorter stem to see how it will affect handling, primarily turn in, if at all. I understand that stem length is a comfort or bike fit thing but also that as per my 1st stem which was was like having a long "tiller" in front of your steerer. I have gone to a 65mm stem with a Deda flat 780mm bar which feels fine but would like to know if even shorter, say 45mm would be "too short"? Is head angle a factor and particularly on my slightly older bike which is pre- the modern trend of longer, lower, slacker? Thanks

So sad man, if that's what happened it's going to mean the children lose another parent, well for a long time, maybe forever. I've not been a fan since he walked off the tdf and I've seen him quoted as admitting he has a short fuse. Apparently there's door cam footage so the truth will be known.

I hope it IS just a tragic accident but given the time of day (around 20:00) and what's now being alleged about bonnets and door handles, you need only refer back to some of his temper tantrums and and the landscape changes. Whatever emerges, the death of a mother, wife, sister, daughter - is tragic beyond belief.

I think that the bubble has burst and that the shortages we experienced were due to extended COVID catchup and the war in Ukraine to an extent, yet many in the market tried to say shortages were due to high demand. I'm not buying that and I don't think the local market as in bike shops has cottoned on. I'd hate to be a bike shop trying to sell bikes right now to pay the rent......Add to that the fact that Cyclelab who have deep pockets seem to want to distribute most of the brands makes it even harder......

Combination of above posts. APPARENTLY if you put the new battery in too quickly, the sensor can get an overcurrent or whatever passes for that in something so small. Rectified by putting battery in the wrong way around to reset and try again. Had a family member have Ant+ stop working on a Wattbike/Garmin strap (BlueTeeth were all present) only to find pairing as per instruction manual didn't work and had to use a method from Google.....

If you wipe it with a clean cloth and the marks are still there then I'd say there is a major problem. I would park it and get the bike shop to solve under warranty. My new RS fork had a lot of stiction and appeared to have less oil than it should from new so anything's possible?

Also a good idea to cut a tiny peiece off the end of the hose to make sure the new head fits before buying, as we know, all hoses are not created equal! 🙂

I've had 2 pumps fail in that when pumping my road bike tyre to around 7 bar the head pops off the valve. Some fixes suggest replacing the o ring but no joy. I found this pump head at Decathlon and despite being skeptical it works 100% and it's good value at R159.00 considering the price of a new pump.

What sort of price do they go for for say a 2.35 29"? Who stocks them?

Just got my first Ciovita and it's the Corsa bib and the Etape jersey.Most comfy shorts I've ever had and the fit of the jersey is brilliant, especially the band over the arms where the sleeve ends. Love them, plus best rain jacket I've ever had!

I use a Camelbak 2.5L museum peice too.Think it's called the Lobo On my 2nd or 3rd bladder. Very happy with it.

Partial hijack: I just got a new Bell and even though I also have a MTB) I left the visor on for a road ride and loved it - the visor stops air blowing down my forehead which makes my (allergy sensitive eyes stream!). At 60 years old I'm not worried about what level of wrong I'm at! 🙂 And for correctness sake I have 3 helmets.....

If it's thread-together, better to get two? (I have both and the thread-together one side is prone to turning when you tighten so with just one it's difficult to get decent torque into it)
