Thoroughly enjoyed olympic 5km mens and 3km womens competitions. Being Dutch made it even sweeter Easy to see similarities with riding. From what I understand most skaters are good cyclists but reverse does not hold. Thoughts why we do not stack up on ice?

She has stated she would like to ride the TdF with the men. She has clearly dominated the women circuit but the boys tour is a different game altogether. Thoughts on how she would stack up in the male peleton? BTW introduction of a female could well result in hormonal instabilities in the peleton especially with the Italians and Spaniards.

Not sure whether you guys have already finalised logistics? I am usually ride on Tues am, 5.15 Set off from Malibongwe, Pres Fouche intersection towards Nortwold, turn right into Kelly and continue to lifestyle centre. There cross Beyers and continue up John vorster till I hit Christian Dewet, where I turn left. Go right on Hendrik Potgieter till Peter where I turn right again. Then back on Beyers and right onto Wtkoppen to the dome (or take boundary rd back and end up at Witkoppen @ Aureole Av. Find this route fairly safe as most roads have wide shoulders and hit those that don't early before traffic gets hectic Route is 31 km with 440m ascent. Anyone keen on joining me?

Do not see why that is a problem? Three fastest times for women came from D bunch today anyway. Bet you those 3 can give quite a few A bunchers a run for their money

Does anyone know what the logic is for not letting females ride A & B bunches? Personally feel that if you can do the pace you should be allowed to ride the appropriate group.

Did anyone see the bloke on the MTB with the insanely fat tires for loose sand riding? Saw him on way in and heard him getting interviewed in D or E bunch Wonder what time he managed to pull out of that thing. Clearly either a very brave or very stupid man
