  1. Check Extreme lights range. Can't go wrong and they are lekker okes
  2. To me Anthony McCrossan is the worst commentator ever. As far as I am concerned he has no idea what he's on about. Ever heard of a micro rest? ... me neither
  3. When I did it in 22, the total cost per person was R82k which is incl of maintenance package, rental car, flights to/from JHB, BnB accommodation and meals for 3 people as we took a soigneur/ driver along. The entry fee was R46.5k that year. So added was R36.7k per rider Hope that helps
  4. Have the roadie hub and still ride rim brakes..did manage to crash one moer toe but no 2 has been bullet proof
  5. I like Powertap hub based meter. Accurate, robust affordable and basically no maintenance
  6. I'm with Murrob. As you have to focus on the trail which demands power at certain points, you cannot really ride within powerzones as often required for structured training. So for off road MTB it is mainly interesting data afterwards as far as I am concerned On tar (whether MTB or roadie), it is a different story. There you can ride at specific power levels much more easily which makes sense for training.
  7. Or Teletubbies land
  8. Now just to find a new main sponsor
  9. Nothing at CL is ever a steal
  10. Kuss is on record as saying he does not want to be team leader and deal with all the pressure. There are a bunch of super domestiques who never made it in a team leader role: Porte / Landa / Poels
  11. I was answering a question, not trying to piss over your battery
  12. Simple: you specify the correct year for the frame and drive train separately .... see the different line items in Hub ads
  13. Both TdF and Vuelta are organised by ASO ... the Polit bureau of cycling
  14. As mentioned previously; check if the frame with mechanical Dura Ace DI2 can accommodate disk brakes (if it is a recent frame it should). If so I would go with that one as electronic shifting is just ****** naais
  15. Fox gloves are lekker but they do not always have all models in stock
  16. He has been very clear that he has no intention of ever going back to serious competitive riding incl gravel. Says he is very happy being a cycling commentator for NOS
  17. This👆 Spez shoes are pretty wide
  18. There're rumours of the majority owner and Patlev looking at selling the whole team.... Which Middle eastern oil rich nation has not got a team year... Kuwait victory / Oman for all cycling team???
  19. Westrand, in and around cradle, Lanseria etc
  20. Easy to check and replace pulley wheels. If they look like ninja stars it's time for new ones
  21. Some internal jewelry
  22. Road racing clearly needs some fresh thinking and the idea of a series with an overall winner is cool. Usually this concept means that you do not have not ride all events so peeps can skip the Oudshoorn ride if not keen (can do something ling min 4 entries and the best rider over 4 events) The main issue I see is CSA: Everything they touch turns to k@k and their only aim is to generate funds to pay their own salaries .... Cleary Stay Away
  23. The ER ........Regular stop for most hubbers I guess
  24. Have not ridden Pioneer Trek and cannot comment on conditions. However unless you are playing for the marbles, I would always choose reliability over marginal weight gain. 330gr will be ~3% of most full sus rigs and less than 0.5% of the rig/rider combo..... in my view that ain't gonna impact your results.
  25. Woesrand sunrise
