  1. Now I can finally see where we went to late March 2022
  2. You can just buy fishing line with metal core at most angleshops and use that as cable... Been doing that for years
  3. That's a very long winded way of saying ek f@kken weet nie
  4. Did you by any chance point out that there is earning potential for Strava there? Over last couple of years this has become a big focus of theirs All timing comes at some charge, one would think that Strava could do this at a very competitive rate
  5. I think that is a great idea for smaller events. Surely you can just do this by riding the route a couple of days beforehand and create the segment? By whom was this not allowed? The brain surgeons at CSA?
  6. Yes went with normal size. Used to go one up but found it’s not needed for Reckon. Did look at Recon 2.0 but order double boa to more precisely get tension right.
  7. Ben riding Spez shoes for years and recently bought Recon 3.0. Super comfortable and would recommend.... the sole is still very stiff except for a small piece just behind the toes. This makes walking much more comfortable. For those who say... not meant to walk....... buy clogs
  8. In my experience Stan's race sealant has such a high particle load that it clogs up the syringe if injecting through the valve. If says on the bottle that you cannot do so. If you can get over the PT of having to break the bead and throw directly in the tire, it is the best sealant out there to my mind PS "Normal" Stan's is nearly as good and requires a lot less PT
  9. Jun Magalies Monster Oct Rwandan Epic
  10. Spectators come for a whole weekend of racing across all categories not just for 70 min for mens elite ... and drink a lot of beer
  11. John, hear Niki Terpstra is also riding Epic this year . You know who his partner is?
  12. XX1 is good but not that good. With me (82kg) they last ~3.5k km before hitting 0.5 stretch. GX and XT chains for my typically last 2.5k km

    Rwandan Epic

We have just entered this event for 2023 and are really looking forward to the adventure. https://www.rwandanepic.com/ Anyone in the Hub universe done it? Would appreciate feedback as well as tips
  14. Incredible... and just heard from the finish that Danie Hoffman also made the cut off .... by 4 min
  15. Sjoe that will be hard... nearly everybody was crawling that last bit up Bainskloof and I assume he will be more broken than those who came before him... Fingers crossed... anyone who completes this is a rockstar
  16. My f0k.. dot watching is intense as it is ... but with the units regularly not updating for 1h or more it gets truly nerve racking... Da wooif in last night in 4d9h Guess that means I'll be doing the dishes at home again
  17. The woman in that pic is not Bonny and last I checked Bonny was in 3rd spot
  18. Think about 8k climbing in total but massively back loaded. no boxes etc. You carry everything on your bike.
  19. It’s Bonny Swanepoel. She riding with Terence for charity so not in the ladies race
  20. Top dogs in these races do not ride for the price money... it's nice but not the decider. As mentioned previously most big ultra endurance races do not have a monetary reward for the winner
  21. Surely Doctors should know better than to take part in this type of madness
  22. Similar issue with Mireille Koster ... listed as a male rider..... if correct I'm in for a real shock when she gets back home
  23. Give that man a Bells..... you go mabooi... you only live once >>> make it count
  24. That's the point at which my brain hit the gutter

    MAAP kit

I am working on a potential business opportunity to bring MAAP kit to SA. In all likelihood this would through a direct model with client ordering kit of the website with order fulfilment through couriers, alike Ciovita and Castelli (through Troisport) MAAP is top notch kit with matching pricing, i.e. on par with Assos (~R2.5k for jersey an R3.5k for bib). As part of the research, I need to get a handle on sales potential and hence would appreciate input from the might hub on following: - Would you be interested in the kit at stated price levels? - Anyone has feel for annual sales volumes of Castelli and/or Assos in SA Any other relevant thoughts would also be appreciated
