What is the correct etiquette when someone on the group ride tells you your rear light is too bright? In a similar vein, what is the correct way to speak to someone who complains about your headlight flashing? (I was riding towards the bunch and then U-Turned after they passed to join)

I'm running record cassette (on Eurus wheel) with Ultegra shifters/derraileur.

In keeping with the pointless theme, can I ask if Baggies are allowed on the road? I ask cause the other day I say this guy on a TT bike wearing baggies. And he wasn't just pottering to the shops, whilst he wasn't going very fast, he was clearly out on a training ride.

I understand it as the carbon paste will sit between the outer bearing race and the carbon. In effect it wont go near the moving part of the bearing. At least that's what I'll try. I need to get some paste tomorrow though, I used the last of mine when I adjusted my position a couple of weeks ago.

So, there's a real reason why they make the juniors and under age categories ride restricted gears. If you came up doing that, spinning at a high cadence is natural and your knees will thank you, and you smoothness and suppleness on the bike will be the better for it.

I always have and will always coat new cables with a PTFE based lubricant. I never have issues and don't even replace inners every year. Or similar. Even better is something like a dry teflon spray: Which is abundant in Euroland where the OP is.

I assume you noticed 11 "clicks"? Or...? Other than the obvious, clean and lube chain, new cables, lube them before inserting through frame. You shouldn't need to replace the outer cable housing unless it's visibly damaged.

Which is the better result? The INEOS shut out at Catalunya or Jumbo taking the mens and womens races in Belgium? Both have got to be pretty historic events?
