Taddy went away and got pulled back, not by a team riding tempo, by a single rider. That was probably never happened in his Pro career. Then he got beaten in a 2 up sprint to the line, that's probably never happened in his Pro career either. The irony is that in his efforts to build up a time buffer on Jonas, just in case he has a bad day in the Pyrenees, might just be the very reason he has a bad day in the Pyrenees because he's burning matches now that he could be saving. "In your he-head, in your he-head, Jonas, Jonas..." 😉 I love both these guys, so different yet such warriors. It's sad one has to come 2nd.

Well Taddy's plan was as expected, the execution lacked some snap. If he was concerned about the high mountains coming, he'll be really second guessing things now. Don't underestimate the mind games. Great ride Johas, you can give Remco his balls back now.

IMHO you never know someones financial position or whether the garment is the correct size or not (for them). If it's theirs, they're fully entitled to sell it, whether they got it for free or not. Maybe they're just trying to cover the cost of buying something else in the correct size? You're not obliged to buy it, just step away.

I've got a feeling we're going to see UAT & Pogi light it up in a big way today. I suspect he's going to try build up a buffer of time just in case Visma to try stick minutes into him on one big stage. This stage is more suited to his explosive style of riding. Actually it's suited to Remco as well... damn, I can't wait, please let it be the fireworks we expect 😄🤙

At the 99er Trilogy this year. They also said no ebikes in the Gravel event yet some chose to ignore this and were still allowed to start.

Here's my issue with ebikes in events like this... and this happened last year despite no ebikes supposed to be allowed in the gravel event. The race is short enough that ebike riders can use Boost mode for a large portion of the race. They start last but they catch groups of riders that have been shelled out the bunch. These riders then hook the ebikes and get dragged back to the bunch. It makes for unfair racing. If they're being allowed to race this year then they somehow need to find a way to avoid this happening.

Unfortunately not today or yesterday because riding in this weather would be nuts but rather Saturday morning along Clarence Drive. What a beaut of a day it turned out to be 🤙 This is my Eddy Merckx Titane (Titanium) running a 10 speed Dura-Ace setup. Sublime ride on a classic 🤙

Bloody amateur, in the old days they stopped for a quick shag in the bushes.... nowadays I suspect so many fans pose a problem for privacy.

On a 25km flat TT, how big are we expecting the gaps to be between the top GC riders? I'm guessing less than what Poggie made on the mountain stage? Although I did a quick fly through the route on Google and there's a few technical corners in small towns that might catch a few riders out.

Probably closer to R4500-R5000. I sold my daughters one for R3500 but it never had the same components.

I would have thought Impey had a better chance of making the team 😉

This incident has me concerned as it doesn't appear to have any modus operandi other than a senseless murder which means it's probably gang related (to get initiated they need to murder someone). This is now the 2nd murder of a local in the space of a few month. We found a body at the entrance to the mtb trail a few months back as well, also stabbed and shot. We are living in a sick *&^$ world 😔 BTW, I've passed you and your dogs a few times there and I'm always concerned they might be hungry and help themselves to my calves 😄 They're very well behaved though, congrats on good training 👍

Loved the documentary but just found it extremely sad that he left the Santa syndicate on a sour note. After so many incredible years with them I expected a lot more from them but you just got the feeling that they had decided to put all their good resources and efforts into the new youngsters in the team and Greg became a side hustle. Kinda the same thing that's happening with Cavendish on the road.

The authorities will need to action the Franschhoek Pass incidents asap as that little town is a tourist hot spot and the Pass gets ridden often by foreigners. I'm guessing that's exactly why it's getting targeted as well, because the perps are expecting to hijack cyclists with a lot of money.
