I'm probably going to enter, not just yet though. If I do it, it's not going to be to race it, I'll do it for the experience to say I've done it. I have a bunch of girl friends who did it this year and they took about 5 hrs, they had an absolute joll. They stoped on the side of the road and had beers with poeple and people with skotles on the side gave them boerrie-rolls. So they just had a jol, which is what we'll probably do again then. If you start at the back where we start you can't race it in any case, apparently the crowd is rediculous, so you might as well go out and have as much fun on the bike as you possibly can. You must see their photo's (yes they took the camera with on the bike), they are hesterically funny. SO if I enter, that's what I'll be doing. Anyone interested in joining us, just let me know, the more the ........

Hi Y'all I also saw some of the local kids at one of the water point at the Lost City, doing some clean up duties with black bags. I specifically noticed this and thought it was really cool, why not get the kids to help out and reward them with some sweets or something for doing good work rather than have them stand on the side of the road and ask for sweets and put cyclists in danger. Or even as you say Thug, do some extra T-shirts for this purpose.

Yikes!!! Sorry to hear that, I thought they were good controlling the guys at the back. I suppose at your level it makes sence if there is proper bunch tactics happening to stay out of the wind. There at the back it's just a mess, no one wants to go work at the front so they 'widden up' across the line just behind the guys in front cuase they want the guys to pick up the pace. It's funny you should hear how the people start screaming at each other and swearing. I droped out of the one bunch because it was getting a bit heated and alot of pushing and shoving started. They guys at the back are AGRO, you would swear they were fighting for first or something

Hey All you A-bunch riders Last week you were all going on about 5 or 6 guys crossing the white line. Well let me tell you, you aint seen nothing 'till you ride in the bunches at the back, these guys cross the white line 10 to 15 riders at any given time. It is the most frightening thing you will ever see, especially when you can see a car approaching and they just aint budging. Well done to the marshall's on the bikes though, they did a sterling job trying to control it and getting the guys back onto the correct side of the road. SP took some photo's of this, we'll post them asap.

Hi Y'all Even though I didn't do as well as I hoped, I had a great time none-the-less. I cramped badly from 13km's in, but finished, yeah for me!! And it was my first 100km race for the year, so better luck next time. It was really nice putting some more faces to names,,,,,, Grapkas, Chilli Pepper, Tazman, Epoh ,,,,,,, nice meeting you all!!! Grapkas - how did your ride end up after all??

Nice pics Spearo!!! And just for the record it's didn't take THAT long to get the milk out, the people moved hence the shadows moved. And the top of the milk came off in the bag, that's why we couldn't get it out. I didn't even see you take a picture there, shneaky, shneaky

Hi guys just checked in quickly, having a hectic day at the office and running out to more meetings now for the rest of the day!! smileys/smiley5.gif Thanks to everyone for yesterday it was alot a fun, and meeting everybody was even better. MichH I think you and I need to start talking about that bike-fund for B, but please thank him and your mom again, the braeky was devine. And thanks to everyone for bringing yummy stuff!! SP - offcoarse Ettiene will skin us alive if he sees us riding with people with no helmuts. smileys/smiley2.gif I've run into him a couple of times! And the problem is that we can't just ride away from him, because he is much bigger and faster than us. smileys/smiley18.gif

a day ticket is R12, you can get these from SA Horse trails, they are on the way to the farm on the left before you get to Heron College, form Randburg's side. If we all use one or two season tickets then we'll all have to meet outside the gates as they won't let u in otherwise, what happens if we have guys who are late, then they can't get in? And all please remember that on a day like Wed there will be marshal's on the farm, so for all the beginners comming with they have to have helmets!!!!!

Everyone must just remember the entry tickets before you get to the farm, no ticket no ride, for those who haven't been there before. If anyone still needs to borrow the spare bike, it is still available, when I told my dad I need to use it, he cleaned and serviced it and everything, it would be a shame if it isn't used. So if anyone doesn't want to come becasue they don't have an MTB, just let me know!

My dad won't be joining us after all. So It'll just be me! Mich don't forget the mushrooms, tomatoes and pork sausages,,,, yummy!!!! So there goes all our diets to 'smitherines'! Now I'm hungry just thinking about all that yummy breakie smileys/smiley36.gif

Have the 725x and no problems, I rince it off directly after a really gunky ride and make sure I get into all the grooves and in and around the buttons.
