    I'm looking for a sweep handlebar, preferably the. They were available locally at around R850 ,but after inquiring from many bike shops it seems they have all been sold. the Agent says they should be getting stock in at the beginning of the year. but you guys know how it goes when you got your sights set on a specific part. Yes its available from quite a few sources overseas ..but the postage is double the cost. Please contact me if you have a set for sale. Howard.

    Get your bike valued ,taking account your upgrades which differ to the stock purchased bike...remember ,to add not only drive train and brakes but tyres,dropper etc....most important is wnen you add new upgrades remember to have the valuation revised .

    Hi there..Quite a few options we used to ride the Vleesbaai to Kanon regulary,except for short piece of tar from vleesbasi its all gravel. The ride to Gouritz is a mix of gravle and tar.Theres also the gravel road from Vleesbasi turnoff to N2 . Enjoy Howard

    Hi there pulling the btakes and rocking the bike will always give the impression that there is play in the fork ,turn the bike upside down or clamp in stand and then move the fork lowers back and forth.

    You can cross over the Highlands pass gravel road to the Arabella side then The Karwyderskraal road to the R320...you can pick up the MTBike trail down to Hermanus along the R320.

    If the entire cassete /cluster is moving its probably the Freewheel body that's loose depending on the hub they come in various configuration...sometimes it has a internal locknut and sometimes an external setups it could also meen the bearings in the freehub need to be replaced

    This is not the Q20 spray, agreed not good for your chain ...Q20 bring out a chain lube called QBike lube its one of the best i;ve used however there always seem to be stock shortages ....apologise for the dirty bottle pic its an empty i fished out of the discard bin ...where bicycle parts go not used but you never throw away

    Hi you can go to Bike park uitsig Constantia they kindly provide a service ...which groups 4 riders together to get the activity permit at reduced rate .they are open over weekends you'll need the TWO id photo's certified copy of your Id form attached ..additional member

    I looked at the triathlon saddles but actually ended up tilting my saddle angle pointing down ..its a cut out saddle so now my rear but bones rest on the saddle ...it takes a little getting used to but I've now ridden like that for over 4 years so feels normal to me .all the best .H

    If all else fails...Switch on and off 😊A friend of mine had a shudder on his disks after coming back from the LBS...after trying every thing we removed the disks...cleaned re-seated the disk tightening the screws like you would a car wheel ..every second bolt in rotation. worked like a charm .

    Hi All , I've searched the sections but failed to hit on the subject of MTbike to e-bike conversion . If it has please post a redirect Link. So I 'have a Genius 2020 aluminium frame ...due to conflicting health issues it's getting difficult to get out on my regular Tokai Trails, up jeep track down singles. I see across the pond the guys are doing pretty decent conversions. Has anybody In SA "better still the Cape" sourced the conversion kit or necessary parts to do the conversion. I have seen locally we have Chilled Squirrel doing in house conversions. thanks Howard.

    I thought i bad a cracked frame on one ride ...turns out i had cleaned and lubed the chain with the bike upside down and lube had got onto the saddle rails...cleaned and creak gone...so yes saddles creak and lube isnt always the answer 😁

    If its got the NX...setup with NX derailleur geT rid of THE NX Derailiur keep the rest put on a shimano xt derailiur...it works with the nx shifter...or go slx shifter Replace the freewheel body bearings and run with a sram gx chan

    Stepped rock steps/jumps of different heights with a bypasses always great to be able to progress through the obstacles

    I'm intolerant to artificial sweeteners so all of the usual mixers are a no go for me...so i use liquifruit 50% mix with water .

    The easiest option is to just take your bike to your bike shop ..they will check your frame ,it might not be wide enough to accept the extended fwb and and tell you if its possible..or the biggest conversion you can do...H.

    Your problem is not really not having microspline...the sram12 speed nx fits on HG body...but your HG body on your hub might not be wide enough for 11 or 12...some hubs you'll be able to put on a newer freewheel body
