  11. Morning Gents I Built this bike a couple of months ago and since hammered it in the Tygerberg trails. I bought a fork for a absolute steel but i cant seem to make a call on fitting it or not The single speed rigid has a carbon fork fitted at the moment as seen in picture. I would like to fit the 100 mm Reba in its place. Very difficult decision! Can the purists please advise...... Thanks

  14. Bought the frame from a member here on the hub and gave it some BC Cycles love and attention with a bit of custom flair. Rides like a dream but hey, its a rocky
  15. Been using prepsol for ages. No issues what so ever. Could have been leaking prior to washing your bike. Even the service bikes are washed with it and no issues..
  16. i know chris willemse sell them. Jag wire brand
  17. Italian former pro Davide Cassani has claimed that such bikes have existed – and been used – since 2004,
  18. I am running a 30t with 11-36 cassette, Spin out on 36 km/h But i seem to not do that often and when you do spin out, it's normally doing tar riding. Cheapest option to do a 1x10 setup and still have a granny of some sorts
  19. I would gladly help you if you don't mind me sending it via courier. Budget figure? I am the same length and has my setup dialed in with short stem and wide bars. sent you a pm
  20. 30 front and 11-36 in the back. Spin out on 37km/h but still have a bail gear if the day gets tough. No chain guide on NW chainring up front

  22. I can quickly find out for you just to make 100% sure
  23. I know people that stay on that road. You actually pass their house on the way and then only go thru the farmers yard. As far as he is concerned it is a road anyone can travel. he uses it every day to work and back. We have cycled that route to Paarl many a day and even passed the farmer while having a braai and not a single who ha. I think is fine...!
  24. On the left hand side you can see a fairly large crack on the steering tube. Comes from over tightening stem bolts and with not enough meat to clamp on when the stem was fitted. Funny enough the owner had his bike serviced at a number of big bike shops in cape town and nobody seem to have picked up on this. Makes you think......
  25. Copper slip is something used to prevent things seizing. Using it on the seat post might even help it slipping. Try replacing the quick release bot with normal bolt or carbon compound for slip if the frame is carbon.
