Looks like the correspondence between: Andrew (Conned by CS) Devi (Carte Blanche) Grant de Ridder (Conned by CS) Bruce Foulis (Agent for Pinarello in South Africa) John Fitzsimmons (Owner: Cycle Science) Robbie Gallinetti (Owner: Cycle Science) http://carteblanche....dies-2014-04-06
  4. Can't believe no one has posted a link to the Carte Blanche clip. Challenge accepted.

  8. That must have been some serious force to put a dent like that in that wheel. Not to sure who is at fault here? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKVKVG66IT8
  9. I reckon they must have broken some sort of record yesterday for crashing. They just could not help them selves from inspecting the ground and surrounding vegetation up close.
  10. Pinarello use Torayca 65HM1K carbon."When referring to 65HM we are referring to a fiber with a tensile modulus of 65 tons per square centimeter. When we refer to 1K it means that there are 1000 fibers per strand." So a 1K weave with 65ton tensile strength.
  11. Like your thinking. My dream bike. Colnago C59 Disk Campagnolo EPS Super Record Formula Hydraulic Brakes Campagnolo SRM Crank Lightweight Meilenstein Obermayer Wheels Enve/3T Ltd Components R300 000.00 plus Now swop the frame for a Cervelo R5 CA and that figure hits 350k and this is all over the counter components. What till you see the prices of custom sub 4kg bikes:blink:
  12. As far as I know GM Cycles sold one to a guy in JHB for 130k and it's hanging in his bar.
  13. If cost is a factor or you just want an easy solution try Fittrack. This helped me a lot has it tailors a program for you depending on training time available, level of cyclist or even a specific event and your goal finish time. Then you choose the days you want too train and it gives you a program and then you can manually add your rides or is you have a Garmin or such upload this and monitor progress vs where you should be in your training program. All this for a couple R100 bucks.
  14. "R 37 500-00 for the bicycle (consisting of a frame (at your insistence sprayed a particular shade of black), head set, handle bars, wheels and saddle column)" I'll be kind and save you from searching 88 pages. 40k
  15. valid point. Given that the shop the OP went to was an authorised Pina dealer, yes they should know the difference and there brands inside out. But last time I checked CL wasn't a Pina dealer, maybe I'm wrong?
  16. Just a thought. Maybe the reason the Aus bike shop picked up on it so quickly is down to them being geographically a lot closer to Asia where most of if not all the fake stuff comes from? I also know that fake bikes as well as unbranded bikes are big in Aus and has been that way for a while, so maybe we just starting to catch up.
  17. As far as I know GM will be on the V10. Not really influenced by the whole mine is bigger than yours competition.
  18. Enve all the way.
  19. Sorry man.
  20. Not sure about that one. There seem to be quite a few different frame types. ie. Different routing caps, positions and angles as well as Di2/EPS mounts either under the downtube or under the rear non-drive side chain stay. This looks to be closet's I've found so far. http://www.dhgate.co.../174995961.html
