  1. I didn't see him he must have been hanging on the back.
  2. All they need was a marshal with a pole and the start letter and things would have been smooth sailing.
  3. Ok, then I'd put it down to the heat. If you don't regularly train and race in that sort of heat your body can just through a spanner in the works. Secondly you need to start hydrating your body two days before a race in temps like that. So increasing your fluid intake and defiantly not waiting till you thirsty because by then its too late.I just constantly keep a bottle water with me and just sip through the day. Even the morning of the race I probably drank 1L before I got to the venue and I started at 6am.
  4. What did you eat or drinkon Sat or Sun that was different to you normal pre-race routine?
  5. Those are Frosy's stats not mine and I would hope my w/kg hasn't dropped that low at SA's a few years ago my avg was 4.2w/kg for 4h20min.
  6. 2017 Avg HR 169 & Avg Power 204W 2018 Avg HR 155 & Avg Power 220W ????? Not sure how that work unless you way fitter? It helps when you only weight 60kg and know how to hide in the bunch
  7. 2016: A: 2:31; avg power 209W / 225NP; avg HR 156; Max 20min 231W (Worked a bit and flat out to the finish) 2017: DL: 2:40; avg power 199W / 227NP; avg HR 152; Max 20min 226W (Pulled the bunch for the first half then jumped in with A) 2018: A: 2:28; avg power 195W / 217NP; avg HR 151; Max 20min 217W (Sat in the bunch, easy ride.)
  8. A top 15 is not a bad result but I know the feeling, got pinched in that last circle and went from 2nd to 5th.
  9. Even with a 20min head start they will be caught before half way. Remember the motor cuts out above 25kph it not chipped.
  10. I agree, we all went far left after the bridge and that first right-hander was shocking but now where near as bad as the Moray Dr corner!!! nearly got taken out was one guy drifted out about 2 meters!!! The last corner off Mnandi was super sketchy coming into it at about 85kph luckily I was at the font but then nearly got taken out on the last circle to the finish! I think the old finish was safer for the racing guys.
  11. Well done. You guy's were hauling A$$!!!
  12. I thought that the Steyn City bumps were very well prepared with the added tar and are about as good as you ever going to get, I found the ones just before Mandela Bridge way worse and required a little hop over them. Personally if a rider is not comfortable going over those Steyn bumps at 70kph then I'm not comfortable racing bar to bar with them.
  13. Great ride, was the small bunch all in the same kit?
  14. Oh the joys!!!I see nothing has changed.
  15. It's already been discounted to $188M
  16. Good result Ryan, hope to see you in the split at 94.7
  17. Max Knox has just been found guilty!!! 4 year ban.
  18. I hate to burst your bubble but that was all a set up. I'm good mates with his younger brother and the above video is tame compared to what he keeps at his house, a few Croc's included!!!
  19. One of my best childhood memories was going for an illegal joy ride in one of these with a mechanic form the local dealer. Scared the $h!t out of me hanging on to the scaffolding in the back doing +200kph down the road!!! Best part was he then jumped in his bicycle and rode home
