    So as luck would have it, my late decision to commit to durban 70.3 is too late :(:(:( Seems all sold out. Does anyone know transfers from one athlete to another is allowed? I'm hoping if someone is willing to sell that it is actually allowed, otherwize massive admin fail on my side.

    Yeah not planning on PBs for the 2 oceans half, im thinking and will be happy with a 2.30-2.45. Just want to be comfy.

    Thank you for the advice everyone, yep will be popping into the runct store and sportsmans ronderbosch on saturday, to see what "their" run analysis machines says respectively.

    Hey everyone, been a while. I have the 2 oceans half coming up so it might be a bit too late but thought I'd ask anyway. I have always been running in asics stability shoes. Currently in an end of life GT 2000 (7), i think the latest one is the 10. My question is what alternative shoe brands should i be considering. Always a tricky thing, as i only get the hang of a shoe after a few kms, so no try before you buy. Any recommendations? or should i stick with what works ie gt2000 10?

    Yeah, look I reckon 32front and 11-32t (9 speed) wont be so bad coming from a single speed 16inch muna. Not as great as the 40t but then again we not going to be climbing Tokai just yet.

    I do get the need to climb and spinning out, however this is the move from a 16inch to a 24inch, so long over due, and wanting to shed some weight and simplify things if its literally just removing those items and maybe replacing some bolts, if not then yep it will stay as is.

    Hi guys,didn't want to jack this thread https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/186440-mountain-bike-1x-conversion But issue is exactly what I would like to do for my kids 24inch bike. Its a 3x9(44-32-22 and 11-32t) and I would like to get ride of the 22 and 44 rings, front derailer and shifter. Its Shimano Alivio in front and SLX at the back. Is this possible to do, or will I be running into similar issue the op of the link above is running into.

    I filled in as per normal on efiling and got a 0.00, with the auto one I've got some bucks back so need to go into it to understand if everything is 100%

    So finally got my Fenix 3 after waiting for it to be affordable for me . Does anyone know where I could get a silicon or rubber bezel protector locally? I know the glass is tough as nails, but from all the pics I've seen on adds etc, it seems the bezel is the one that gets scratched.

    Had one of the Speedo ones and it worked brilliantly for about 4 months. Then wouldn't turn on. Unfortunately bought it of either daily deals or one day only and they referred me to Speedo. Speedo then said, nope sorry can't help you as its a grey product Issues asside, while it worked it really helped the longer sessions in the pool.

    Had a similar situation with my daughter(4) and her cousin (6). as per the invaluable advice on le hub, I took her training wheels off immediately and she took to it like a duck to water. Her cousin didn't. His parents where always adamant that, no he can't ride without training wheels. Tbh I just don't think the parents paid enough attention. So I played a game with them, lets swap bikes and guess what happens - he rides without the wheels. Got so be@#$@#$ at his parents told them to take it off and stick around when he rides.

    I don't, but maybe its due to lack of oxygen? I know that's something I struggle with ie exhaling and the build of of carbon is what ultimately leads me to cramping.

    Funny I see this, was just gonna ask about the cycling shorts for kids. Saw them at the Junior argus expo at Canal Walk but for the life of me can't remember what brand they were and where to get them. My little ones have been putting a lot of time on their bikes but have been complaining that their bums are getting sore. So I'm looking for those padded shorts. Any one know where I could get them, sizes for age 3 and 5.

    Soo Im thinking of giving the cape town ITU Triathlon a tri , Do you think its doable without a wetsuit? I know a wetsuit is preferable but given the cost of the event and the cost of hiring a wetsuit, its a little out of my budget also considering all the other races happening in succession?

    Watching that video I can't help but see how hard/tight the "b" line or more accurately "my line" is on the DH's. Gonna make for interesting times, gonna have to get a cam to contribute to the "Not so hot dismounts in action" thread
