How can the court say PPA doesn't administer high performance events...?? I thought the Argus was a World Championship race!!

Well my road bike got some kudos from the MTB when I parked it in the garage all covered in dust. I really enjoyed the dirt section, it was something different and gave us a glimpse of what the euro pros have to do. I told my dad afterwards that the bike felt really squirmy through the dirt so I took it really easy, starva said I clocked 70kph on the dirt, no wonder the bike was squirmy... I rode with $, the bunch was very big and it seemed that a break just couldn't get away from the front. The pace was quite erratic with the size of the bunch and guys trying to attack at the front. The first time the bunch properly split was on the dirt section. The first proper attacks from the climbers happened up Malanshogte and the bunch seemed to break up in a big way. We regrouped a bit up Vissershoek and then scattered again over the top and up the final climb. Finished in 2:33. A good morning out on the bike and perfect weather. Edit: Added peektcha of dirty bike.

I liked this tweet I saw on the weekend of the attakwas race, I think it is pertinent to this thread and very true. The only thing I have to add is if you aren't racing the slammer on Saturday you better be watching! It is going to be a great days racing.

I used to ride with an asymmetric on one of my road bikes. Not really sure if it improved my power, but they killed my knees. I had horrible knee pain every time I rode the bike. I eventually did some investigating on them and apparently it is quite common for them to cause knee pain. I replaced mine for a standard chain ring and it was immediately better.

I did one and a third last year. I finished then went from the start to newlands, cut through to Hout Bay and finished with my fiancee. I will help you with what I know. 1. Legality: No, but I have never heard of anyone getting into trouble for it. 2.Time: Around 10:30, So you have to start before 7 and do a sub 3 to go again. 3.Chip: Yes, take it off. I put mine in the car before setting off again. 4. Route: I parked my car outside Truth coffee in Buitenkant street. After my first loop I went to the car to take my chip off and have a drink and refuel. I rode from Buitenkant to Strand str. Took a right at strand and then waved to the metro cop as I took the N2 bridge to join the race.

I have entered. Riding solo. Cant wait!!
