  8. The area will be like any other Chinatown, The view will change and there will be a lot of development around the park. More Chinese will enter the country to work on the development and I don't think that's a good idea once they arrive here they never leave.
  9. Yes it is The Chinese will get that to Read part of the sens Post the completion of the Transaction, the AECI Group will retain approximately 1 300ha of land at Modderfontein for current and future operational requirements, and future disposals. 11. on my MTB that is modified I start to spin at about 45Km/h. on steep hills I can sometimes do better than the roadies on a flat road I can't keep up if I don't work very hard.
  12. What groupset and what year model
  13. I have tried to find good independent studies done by organizations not funded by the big drug companies. I could not find any. My doctor and chemist recommend that I don't stop using it even if my total Cholesterol is only 3.0
  14. I got COQ10 from my chemist and my doctor also change my script so I will find out on my next long ride if there is a change
  15. Good idea is there still enough time to get a use to new bike before the 94.7. I was looking at a Scott speedster with 105 group set the other day when I walked passes Cajees Maybe its a goodtime to buy now, with the exchange rate bikes are going to cost more next year
  16. I also have a MTB Scott spark 940 and do road races. I have 2 wheel sets one for MTB and one for the road with slicks and a Shimano 105 cassette 11-28T. But in still slower than my friends on their road bikes. I'm also thinking of getting a road bike. We have to look at a carbon bike with good wheels and a minimum of a 105 groupset Starting price R14000.
  17. I would bet that every country surveyed has better cycling infrastructure. Until we have traffic engineers who bike to work, this is unlikely to change in Gauteng. I tested a electric bike at the cycle fair and liked it. With fuel prices rocketing it can be the answer to city commuting. http://www.npr.org/blogs/parallels/2013/10/24/240493422/in-most-every-european-country-bikes-are-outselling-cars?goback=%2Egde_144126_member_5800490789280698370#%21
  18. Today I have been to the local bike shop. There I saw a Giant TRC composite 1 and a Scott CR1 at a good price The Scott is a trade in and is R16000, the Giant is new and R21000 which is the best buy.
  19. I have also used High5 but it makes me feel Bloated. Im back on GI32
  20. We must post more pics of our overworked and under paid police.
  21. I got the following from my chemist he is also a cyclist, co enzyme q10 and SLOW-K and I must up my slow mag to 4 tables the night before the race
  22. We where the last batch FM and I didn't stop at the first water point. I had one bottle of water and a bottle of GI32. I dropped my bottle of GI32 just after the first water point and had to rely on the water points there after for a energy and electrolyte drink Don't know if their weak powerade mixture did the trick. The water was also warm. The marshals at the finish were chatting and we missed the turnoff to the mats.
  23. My cholesterol is very low I am Fit for my age (R HR 58) I could lose 10Kg. I have always been a gym member and spin more than 3 hours a week. I did the 94.7 last year for the first time on a friends mtb now I have my own bike and have done more than 15 races this year and slowly improving my time. I will see this week when my blood test results is at the doctor.
  24. I have gone for blood tests last Friday and have had this discussion with my doctor. I also were taking Water tables(Natrilix) and my thinking was that this was the cause of the cramps, last week Thursday was the last one I took. Now I know its not the natrilix but the Lipitor. Will have to change or go of the Lipitor
  25. I have been on cholesterol lowering statins and on the bestmed 80Km I experience bad cramps in my legs for the first time. The only change from previous races I have taken the tablets the morning before the race (Tritace and Lipitor), I normally take the tables after the race. I have always experienced small cramps after about 50Km and I was able to cope with no real performance drop. On the Bestmed race it was so bad that my performance was down and I could not get of the bike when I went over the timing mats. My legs are still sore and I don't recover as with previous races. Anyone with the same problems.
