Rode the route to the Cradle on Sunday. Nice yellow cyclist lane. But now they have put stchhooopid plastic humps, at an angle, on the yellow line. Could cause an injury I thought as I rode over one and got my Nads firmly planted just above my kidneys. And it did! Stopped to help a guy who wasn't prepared, riding on one of those thin wheeled things, hit the bump, went down, one badly broken collarbone :angry:later... Does anyone here know how or who he is ?

Anyone got any ideas on how to increase the resistance on a Giant IDT? I do not get anywhere near enough resistance using the MTB's gearing.

Solomons in Woodmead have Continental Sports at about 300 and serfas at about 200. You do need to go a bit wider. The contis are 38 wide (as opposed to the average 23 wide for a normal road tyre), and the serfas are 2" wide (50.4mm)

Is there a way of putting a bigger big ring on an XT crank for a slightly faster setup for 94.7? The 44 seems a bit light.
