  1. Invaders weren't that bad. You bought it when you couldn't afford a hansom or le jeune. I am with Eugene, fix it for the heck of it
  2. I was placed 55th, so definitely not on the sharp end but the mergers was not an issue for me. The folks gave way as soon as they see you coming and not being a single track race, there were ample space to pass.
  3. Great race, took a wrong turn with a-b bunch,we all had to turn around. Lol . Some missed that swampy detour. I love the sand.my calves are sore walking up that one k@k climb????. 75km is a tough one. Will be back next year. Well done to organisers
  4. You will probably find the 56km easier than CTCT mtb 40km
  5. Not a technical race, but a lekker long fast slog for the 75km. thorns and sand are an issue, but this is MTB after all.
  6. Good to know, hesitant to sign up for round 2, but don't get to ride it because I missed the gate by 1 min
  7. Im 1F starting at 6-37. If I do second lap I don't think I am able to get to start chute by 9-50. Let's for argument sake I just get a sub 3 (which I never did before) . That will mean I will finish 9-37. Then will have to navigate through other finishers to get out .then cycle to start chute, and this basically means I have less than 10mins to do all of this and take a pi$$.
  8. Bike Park Constantia - R65 a day Took out a family membership for the year. R2000, Me & my 3 boys. Basically got my money back after the 8th visit. I go almost every weekend there so an annual membership is a no brainer.
  9. To the organizers, the trails are awesome and glad to hear how the funds are being spent. I will be back next year cos I had a lekker workout. You got a year to sort out the marking / marshaling issues. If the trail was not so awesome, I would gladly marshal, but those trails must be ridden
  10. I also told the Marshall by white bakkie that it's confusing and said I must hit the tar and go to finish. I actually followed the white arrow on the surface and when realised that the okes behind me not on my tail did i decide to turn around.they could have actually stood at that point. Hopefully they do better. This race is completely volunteer run so understand they wanna make good profit for lions club, and hopefully they can improve on it
  11. On long route there were a few missing ones, luckily there was always riders ahead so was ok. That sand at the end was cool and loved the rocky challenge. I'm by far the best technical dude, but definitely getting better.
  12. I normally don't rant, but the marking needs improvement because I like the terrain and definitely want to be back
  13. ok, so can someone tell me what happened? we were rerouted and the marshall lady said that the trails got vandalised. Other than Karl Platt dropping me at the start, I actually enjoyed the ride. I did it last in 2015 and it seems more rocky.
  14. Entered, but I am dead sure it was cheaper with PPA. anyway, I enjoy that region so looking forward to it
  15. Bought the 3 pack cam socks. 1 ride,1 pair, 2 holes. (and yest I cut my toe nails)
  16. Great job by the organisers. Lovely conditions, nice way to get the road season on its way.
  17. 2 x 500ml bottles for me and a few steamed potatoes on the 75km and refueled on the last WP. Honestly, you can get away with one bottle, there is sufficient water points to fill up the bottles if you not racing for podium
  18. My first 75km, lekker tough for me, but thoroughly enjoyed it. The Delvera Single Track rocked! So how did the e-bike category play out?
  19. I saw the fly by at Worcester MTB and we were in and around each other for most of the way until you dropped me. Abdul Raof Ryklief
  20. Will look for you and try to wheelsuck you
  21. Oh no! not another online store Best wishes
  22. Did the 100 miler. My garmin finished on 163km. I saw the board that says 1 mile to go. That must have been the longest mile in my life. Great event, everything everybody said about the event is true, especially the last stretch. Perfect weather, was my first and definitely not my last. Kudos to those that was on the start line
