Pulled into work to find 2 Harleys in the bicycle parking.Marvelling at the sight,forgot to focus,windbreaker got hooked up on front of saddle causing me to fall in front of the Harleys.Luckily nobody around.Only ego damaged!

Yesterday at 4.30 it was still 35 degrees.Was just outside town between 12 & 2 on last bitch of a climb and I was getting cookèd.Much respect to riders.Some US riders i followed came in 8 1/2h then still hundreds of riders on trails

Found lekker place to train for K2C : Paarl Mountain-long climbs,fast downhills,loose corners,sinkplaat and hot conditions

This morning 6am on Otto du Plessis just after Tableview circle white VW doors open ,music pumping,5 pax drinking beer and discussing somebody's ma se onderdele.After I had passed the scene I thought F this and tried to phone SAPS 3 times- NO RESPONSE. Turned around and was near SAPS Tableview when I stopped a ADT and asked him to call it in.Later saw the same car in Melkbos. God help the guys cycling on the R27 Need to get a contact no.that works early morning.No fun hearing a car behind you and wondering if they are the drunks

Not many commuters this morning.Thought Hairy would be at Hoogies this morning but passed their small bus this morning on my way to Koeberg.

Close call !!! Hope the rider is ok .Have those pains checked out once over the shock. Something like that would spook me totally and would affect my commuting.How does one deal with that subconscious fear?

Made it,no baddy's around.This morning I oversleptfor 1/2 hour and did not want to take on the Marine Dr offramp onto FW De Klerk and FW as the traffic was building up ,so I did hijack alley .Only passed 1 well dressed guy .It was just getting light.Not so keen to do that in the dark.

Its 15h00 and time to take on Hijack Alley,hope the bad guys are occupied elsewhere.

Saltriver Circle is not my favourite traffic circle especially in peak hour traffic.Then you have strollers also crossing the road,ear phones in and slowing down when they cross the green cycle lane.

Not a nice area,seen some guys sleeping in those subways and also the section of the trail next to the railway line where there are quite a few people living.
