Cyclists causing bad vibes in Kalkbay.Swearing,riding on pavements etc etc

Newly erected on cycle lane in Paardeneiland to protect a drain cover.Excuse the urinator behind the cage

After another rant on fb about the safety on the cycle lane from Paardeneiland to CBD I decided to have a look because I am keen to start commuting again.Some spots in Paardeneiland with glass on the lane.Near Lower Church st bridge the plants between cycle lane and bus lane have been trimmed down so you have a clear view of section ahead. Metro cops at the N1 underpass.Saw 3 commuters around 5.30 pm.Won't use it in the dark early AM ,but thinking about using it in the afternoon on way home.

Did the cycle lane along the R27 from Blaauwberg rd to Sandown rd and it was a pleasure to ride.Weeds cleared,rubbish cleared,homeless have moved.Big up to 3 ladies from CCT cleaning along the route this morning

Support a charity like SPCA .Top R650 or NSRI R550.NSRI top made by Racepace.SPCA tops look great

Another bike jacking on Tygervalley rd near Barrel pub Red Trek stolen and rider stabbed Be careful out there

Cycle lane from Blaauwberg rd along R27 towards Sunningdale is a disgrace with rubbish, weeds,glass,sh.t.North of Sandown rd it is worse with sand on the lane from cable theft.Saw a brave lady running amongst all of this.

Thanks City of Cape Town Extended Public Works for cleaning up along the cycle lane near Paddocks traffic lights

Quick cycle around the hood late afternoon.Can see it was a good payday/ black friday weekend.Broken fences,broken car bumpers,broken bottles and rubbish dug out of bins.Hope all cyclists made it through the weekend in 1 piece Be safe out there

Cyclist down at M19 Melkbos near woodsellers this morning.Be careful out there RIP

In the 1st six months of the year I picked up close to 100 black bags between Milnerton and Melkbos while I had lots of free time thanks to Covid.But the SE is back and so there is a lot more rubbish.All the homeless guys along the route does not help either.So this moaner is on the way to clean up, again

Why haul somebody's trash half a km down the cycle lane only to dump it and smash a spkling wine bot in the middle of the lane.The mind boggles

After 8.30

On way to work today I saw a car with 2 bike on the roof.Feeling sad as this is normally the time to load up bikes ,tents etc for the weekend outing to K2C.Lekker vibe in Uniondale before the challenge. Next year for sure

Cape Nature have free access 13 to 20 Sept but San parks only in Nov.

Seen on FB there was a bike jacking on the Tygervalley rd near Klein Roosboom winery.E bike (Black and blue Giant) robbed by 2 guys with knives.Drove through there at about 3pm and lots of cyclists on the road with lots of traffic.Be careful out there.Robbers made off towards Du Noon

Never trust cars to stop at traffic lights.Just saw a commuter that had been knocked down at cnr Racecourse & R27 in Milnerton in busy traffic.Hope he is ok
