    3h21?
  2. That is nice to hear. Some of the other branches' staff can't wait to get home...
  3. They all have VIPA's now ?!?
  4. I have the P-XCR1 rims on my Anthem, and they weigh waayyy less than 2kg for the set. I had the ZTR Crests before that and bent them quite often. My P-XCR1's are much stronger than my Crests were, and my Crests weighed more as well (I didn't have the best hubs on them). So anyone that says they are heavy doesn't really know the P-XCR1 rim and wheels.
  5. I have a Anthem 29er, and I did the tubeless myself. Tips: * Use Gorilla tape. This is by far the easiest, most durable way to seal and line your rim. You will have to use some elbow grease to fit it on tightly, but is quite easy. Get the 25mm one, as is. Make sure you overlap it about 20cm. * Make little hole for valve. I use the Stan's stuff, much better IMHO than the DT Swiss stuff that comes with Giant. * Pump and seat your tyre first with a tube, to let it push the Gorilla tape in place... Pump it hard (4 bar). Take out and check the tape. * I have used every single tubeless tyre on the market, and have settled for the last 2 years on Spez Ground Control front and Fast Track back. I seat my tubes with a normal footpump, no bombs, compressors etc required. Same as one guy said, put on the one side first, then the other side, keeping a bit open with tyre lever to put in your Stans. * Again, I use Stan's sealant. Not cheap, but works the best. Put about 100mm in for 2.2 tyre. Bit more if you want. * Make sure your valve is not open to the side. Put footpump on, and pump it... Might take a couple of strokes for it to take (sorry... ), but it will eventually. SORTED. This whole process takes me 10min per wheel.
  6. Not too bad with the flat start, we'll catch the B guys early in the race.
  7. Same here... Bit dissapointed, but anyhow, seeding not that important in MTB races...
  8. Bike is finished and like new.

Stats stats stats!!! Just start in your group and trap the *** out of your pedals for as long as you can and see where you finish...
  18. Sorry, want to add. This is the Somerset West / Stellenbosch area.
  19. So we like to moan about our LBS's, but here is some raving... I broke a spoke on my Mavics in the 99er this past weekend. Being on my MTB mostly, I only realised it this morning, and because I want to race this weekend, frantically phoned all my trusted LBS's to see if this can be fixed ASAP. This is how it went: LBS1 - Sorry, these Mavic spokes will take a week to get here. LBS2 - Ons is baie besig en sal eers volgende week daarna kan kyk. LBS3 - Nee sorry man, ons is baie besig die week, Miskien volgende week. En Mavics is baie moeilik om reg te maak. Mason's - Geen probleem nie, bring hom in. Ons sal die regte speek kry en hom sommer vandag nog regmaak! Big thumbs up to Mason. This is not the first time he does this, and all my cycling friends rave about his service.

I phoned their Office just to stir it up a bit. They say that if you did the Argus or any seeding race longer than 6 months ago, it will be penalized by 1 seeding point per month, so Argus last year would be 6 points... ARRGGHH To my knowledge this was not the case in previous years Argus's??? But this guy I spoke to was adamant that it was indeed done like that in previous years... Anyway, we'll take it as it comes.

  23. Hoeveel kuk kan hulle kwytraak?!?
  24. I cycle most mornings from Somerset West, but VEEERY early. I start around 5ish, and normaly do a 1h45/2hour ride. If you're interested, PM me, then we can arrange something. The Wannabees crowd is fantastic, I normally just like to push depending on how I feel. I average around 27km/h on the R44 and do around 50km in the morning. Let me know.
