  1. That is SPECIAL!
  2. Those days are precious!
  3. No, I was serious! I really like it!
  4. Like your saddle bag!
  5. Bilton on my morning ride.
  6. Jonkershoek last weekend.
  7. Look for one of the minister's driveways...
  8. Comes in pink for girls too! She's 3 now...
  9. My son has had his 16'' Titan Hades bike for almost 2 years no. He is now 5... It works fantastic, bit heavy, but all these bikes are. They learn how to brake properly with front and back brakes and a shock. I paid 1500 at Cyclelab 2 years ago. His next bike will prob be one of those Momsen bikes (SCHWEET!)
  10. I would go for these if I was in the market IMHO. or these: http://www.easybike.co.za/shimano-xt-wheelset-wh-m785-29-29er.html
  11. Those rails look too ling, with a lekker bump, it looks like something that will break... Will keep with my "26er" saddle thank you!
  12. Good decision.
  13. Agree here, the Reba is a much more comfortable shock than the SID. I have a SID on my Anthem at the moment, had the Dual Air Reba. But if I were to replace it one day, it will be with a REBA, no question. Not sure if it was the dual vs single air too, but the dual air Reba was very nice.
  14. Agree, there are more accidents at the Argus than Burger. I cringe when I see okes taking on the oncoming traffic in the big groups at the Burger. Hope the groups aren't too big.
  15. Agree with Seabee, there are no road closures. This race is the "keep left and dodge the oncoming traffic" type.
  16. Agree with this statement 100%. If you don't value your precious life, then do stuff like that.
  17. I stopped buying Events shirts years ago. Total rip-off.
  18. 29er definitely.
  19. I use the ParkTool CC-32 to tell me when my drivetrain components needs replacing. 2 chains per cassette, front blades as per required. Derailleurs will last forever if you handle them correctly. Have replaced some jockey wheels in the past though.
  20. Hahhahaaa, yes, for some it is!
  21. Tip #1. If you are used to a hardtail, don't let anyone tell you "You need a dual suspension to finish the Epic". Not true.
  22. Agree, I've been passed several times in the past at MTB races where I do the shorter distance with the RE:CM boys (as an example) coming past with even less space to pass, and are out to win it with pressure and guys on their asses, and they have been polite without fail. Not shouting and bumping and being "windgat". That is how it is done.
  23. Sjoe, tough one, but if I had to choose one, I would say Bike 1. More upgradeable, but there is not a clear winner for me. In a case like this I would say take them for a ride and feel.
