  2. Just got my first email to ride twice, yet I sold my entry yesterday One day when I am back in the country I'll do it with pleasure. For those that got theirs and are able to do it, live to the fullest!
  3. Do you really need a saddle bag for a sub 3 ride
  4. Hi Duane, I'm no nutritionist but I would rather go for 1 date every 20 km's. 20 dates is going to do a number on your stomach! Eating every 5km's is overkill!

  6. Hectic!!! I did 3.07 from 2A last year. But the weather was perfect!
  7. About 400 strong...or not so strong!
  8. I call my chick "dude" all the time. She prefers it to being called "chick"!
  9. My Favourite socks are from The Cyclist Co. However I have big feet (46) so they are beginning to show strain
  10. No love for http://sako7.com ? Ships local, goes international! hence the $ tag Yes they are pricey, but it is cycling after all!
  11. It's the love of money...not just money!
  12. Thanks I will be sure to get in touch closer to the time. I'm really looking forward to cycle lanes without the fear of a taxi pushing me out the way!

  15. I will PM you if I get stuck thanks.
  16. Hi Expats or Locals living in Amsterdam, I will be moving to the Netherlands (Amsterdam) soon. I will be a complete noob when cycling/ training/racing (entering events, not pro) in Amsterdam. I will bring my race bike over and buy a single speed commuter once I'm there. Or should I buy a steel single speed here and take it over? So many questions to ask! Will also be looking for group rides once there! Any advice from experienced expats in this regard would be golden. Thanks! Timeline 2 months and counting!
  17. I have MAXED out on points, 460 points shy of going Diamond! I don't get points for rides or gym! Any help? Please PM me if you know how I can get my final points! Thanks
  18. On an early Thursday Morning I cycled down to the Shell Garage in Mouille Point to meet Brendon as I accepted his invite (via Facebook) to join his group. When I saw a group cycle up from the Virgin Active I asked if Brendon was around and Klyde had stopped to give Brendon a call while the rest rode on! Brendon was still in bed So Klyde and I chased down the others in an attempted to regain the group with Klyde doing most of the pulling. I quickly realised I was out of my depth! Well done guys!
  19. Start at schools. Teach the next generation of road users to be respectful of each other. Get speakers to talk about their experiences. Incorporate cycling awareness into k53.
  20. Glad you are alive!!! A lesson I learnt from my first impact with a car was to keep my cell phone near. If an unfortunate incident should happen I'll start taking pictures and ask for proof of a drivers licence. Then start asking about insurance and contact details. Drivers don't consider hitting no motored vehicles an accident!
