We moved to Middelburg, MP in April. And in typical Transvaal initiation, my Cannondale SuperSix was stolen. And in typical insurance fashion I was suddenly underinsured, so only got half of what my Dale's replacement value is.... But.... I got this beauty from a fellow Hubber. I've been looking at gravel bikes for a while. I don't like the idea of getting hit by Coal trucks. So, I took the chance. And what a joy this beast is. The bike's only weakness is the 40-year old pistons driving it. Today was its first proper gravel test. Loved it. 100% sold on gravel bikes.

i was 2kg away from my ideal weight last year. then covid struck and hit me hard. 4 months without the energy to ride or walk or anything. after 3 and half months i went to play indoor cricket, honestly thought I was dying at after the game. went back to 92kg..... now I have to restart.

Im still tracking. just forgot to input my weight this month. I did well, and in July covid hit.... 2 months of hell and 4kg back on the hips...

looking through all the posts. man Im jealous. Im still recovering from a bad case of Covid. Played with the dog today for about 5 min and my heart rate shot up to 120bpm (I measured). so still about 3 weeks off the bike. sucks. but It could be worse.

I think its the unpredictability of the these cyclocross champs that adds some spice to the peloton. I like it. But yes we'll see what he will do. today is quite flat so I doubt he'll try anything. Unless he has a green jersey in mind.

Have you ever seen MVDP sitting in the main bunch for a chill ride? He took yellow at Flanders the one day, and the next day the yellow jersey was in the break away...... He is a legend in the making.
