  1. haha. you do what you can in cpt. manage to rack about 80% of it in a almost continuous 30km.
  2. went looking for hills to climb. was leka
  3. i always fix my punctures on the grass next to the road. It not just logical but also safer for me and those riding in the yellow lane.
  4. is there a tdf compitition on the hub this year?
  5. im always tinkering and studying. So adjusted my position (seat position, height, tilt and cleat position). so tested on my favorite stretch of road. Getting more glute engagement and straight pedalling although I found my stance is to close together so back to tinkering on that one. But overall speed and power inprovement. Cut 2min off previous time.
  6. Im only here for the adverts and limited bike related forum discussion. I rarely if ever go to the off-topic stuff. So Im quite happy to comply
  7. Supply and demand bruff. Willing buyers and willing sellers. If a buyer is prepared to pay 35k for a 2nd hand spez, then the seller is free to sell at 35k. If the 35k spez is not selling, then the seller has to keep the machine or drop his price until he meets a willing buyer. Its simple economics. The fact that people are paying that type of money for a bicycle, shows how alive and vibrant the sport actually is. Btw, I say a new set of zipp 353's at a local bike shop for a nice 89k. If people are willing to spend 89k on a set of wheels, what you complaining about then?
  8. So I did a double loop of koeberg road to malanshoogte and up vissershok then through D'urbanvale. the idea was to get my mind right and to train my mind for long distance riding. was great. loved it. Did the glengarry hill on the way home just to drive the fact home that my legs are capable of much more than what my mind tells them they are. #stuffthemindday
  9. I've kind of stabilized on 87.1 at the moment. about 10kg lighter since start of 2021. Been a flipping mad month stress wise to the point of getting shingles (bloody sore that). Being off the bike a lot more due to work stress and illness and not-so- healthy eating, I haven't continued the downward trajectory. But 87 is good. Now I'm back on the discipline wagon. So 85kg here I come.
  10. Great observation from Horner. When he say Bernal eating on then final climb he suspected Bernal was in trouble
  11. name them shame them and shun them.
  12. I always listen to his breakdown after each stage. very good insights. He was team mates with Victor so I dont mind.
  13. beautiful ride yesterday. Lekker cold but stunning.
  14. My wife thought I was going mad. Shouting like a world cup final in that last 150m! Brilliant stage.
  15. Very much. could have been quite bad.
  16. If you cant buy new, buy second hand cash. make sure the frame is good and in excellent condition and as you ride and save up, upgrade the components. thats how I built and bought all my bikes.
  17. i ride 440. not worried. fits my broad shoulders and my banggat down descents.
  18. 4 stages. good to see him in winning form again
