  1. Rather look through the classifieds here.
  2. Tis but a scratch...
  3. Looks like they are in the Strand. Search for them on Facebook, they have a page on there.
  4. Should anybody be having this particular issue please feel free to contact me and I will help out
  5. First thing the buyer will do is start swapping parts for lighter components...
  6. Not 100 percent sure but I think it's around 7.30 to 8.00
  7. Back on the burns - Lower Tokai today http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/Tokaiburn01_zps70b308d3.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/Tokaiburn03_zps7823ad7a.jpg And my humanitarian gesture for the year - I found this little guy desperately trying to get across the road and I gave him a helping hand http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/Tokaiburn05_zps9915d060.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/Tokaiburn08_zpsada2fb90.jpg
  8. That particular trail (Vasbyt) is a bi-directional trail at the moment, anybody riding up there is within their rights and it isn't fair to imply stupidity on their part. No matter what day of the year it is.
  9. Scheduled burn opposite the picnic area.
  10. Damn thats looking nice.
  11. Where are the near misses happening?Regards signs - a load of new ones went up a while ago. Within a week or so the baboons had eaten/broken/made cultural weapons out of all of them. It's like they were painted with the worlds most popular baboon attracting scent. The poor signs stood no chance.
  12. This is good, it looks like at least four people are going to help with trimming. would it be possible to put together a regular trimming crew? That way we don't get to the point where the vegetation is out of control snd that would mean the actual trail builders don't have to waste time on battling the bushes. The willingness to help looks like it is there, can we make use of it?
  13. *Adds bad joke about joystick*
  14. That is in the process of being organized as far as I know, you may have company that day.
  15. Please lets not turn this into a bunfight. That said it is fair to say that the trails need more ongoing care/work than is currently the case. The question should be - what can we do to remedy this? Edit - I took a ride through Boulders yesterday, for the first time in months, and it is nothing short of astonishing how the tree cover helps preserve the integrity of the trail. The open trails must be a nightmare in comparison.
  16. A hard call that one. It's nice to get through a section that scares the snot out of you but how do you determine what that level is? What frightens me may (almost certainly will be) a piece of cake for many others.
  17. The answer is yes. It's the new bike.Regarding the maintainence guys - after a month or so of no work they all buggered off and found alternative employment. Since then there has been no ongoing maintainence as far as I know. The embargo on work up there was a mistake but we need to get past it and look at what can be done now.
  18. This was great fun last year. Will the onsite camping be available again this year?
  19. It does doesnt it.I have taken many photos of obstacles that looked like the side of a cliff to me at the time only for them to look like the mildest gradient when I show the picture to anybody.
  20. Deon had some guys that were up there s few times a week and it seemed to help. A couple of times I pointed out stuff that needed looking at or attending to and it was fixed the next day (and yes I do spend an unhealthy amount of time up there )
  21. The bit we spoke about last week.
  22. Your fall was at a different spot, sounds like this happened at the earlier, bigger/steeper, section. That said it is a dangerous sport and any fall anywhere can end badly.
  23. Well done, it's nice to know that you can look to others for help when it all goes wrong.
  24. Thanks for the reply. That sounds like Mamba and those rocks can be tricky but it does sound like he had a very unlucky fall. Please let us know how he gets on.
  25. Any idea which part of Tokai? Which single track? It might help the trail guys to see if there is something especially dangerous or if it was an unfortunate one off incident.By the way a sixty year old zooting around Tokai gives me great hope for the future, you can be 'elderly' and still have fun/ride like a hooligan.
