  5. this is so good!
  6. Hahaaa I'm always saying I want a man that can cook and will cook. My OH did, in the beginning. But I'll rather cook any day than iron, I can't iron. Probably why I've never been 'wifed' - and I live by the adage that life is too short to spend time ironing. I'm specific when I buy clothes, if it needs ironing, I don't need it.
  7. FWIW chicks dig a guy who can cook (and not just slap meat on the braai) - so there's that - for when you're back in that space. *ahem @Mayles
  8. and fleetwood mac's Dreams
  9. can't outdo the boss, but a cool cover nevertheless
  10. it's been quite a while now - there's a notice on the window at the ticket booth that states the reserve is closed on Mondays. Check for ticks!!!!

    Who remembers?

Primrose Germiston - you can't forget it if you've been. Alternative club set in what can best be described as an antique store. Quirky but so much fun.

@Red - did you ever go to the Gas Works or CCHQ?
  15. a mature compromise.
  16. On an aside, I was chatting to my neighbour over the weekend. Divorced lady with a 11 yr old daughter who is autistic. She's now seeing a guy in the UK - long distance thing and he's said to her to move to the UK - obviously it's not just a pick up and go thing - but from a support for the daughter in terms of learning and just future prospects - I would imagine it's a great opportunity, but apparently the ex has refused to sign consent. I feel that is so selfish - I know i'm coming at it without the emotional attachment but with emigration being a huge thing atm - something to consider with the split families.
  17. i had a discussion with the OH - as he was watching it when I came home the one night and he was having a good laugh, i watched a few minutes and then I said I call BS - who remembers and still has their diaries etc - but then I guess some do. last night watched the series of people coming out - and how they first realised they were gay , that was pretty cool. I guess I just like the human experience of it. But definitely not a binge watch thing - small doses.
  18. really - was not aware of it. why'd it annoy you? I can't watch a whole lot at a go, but so far I've enjoyed it.
  19. I found a series on Netflix that's very funny - called Mortified - about people sharing their childhood experiences - reading from their journals. Very real, very funny. trailer:
