  2. Specially for @Sepia Grrrr is back Maiden trail ride. Thought I wouldn't like the super wide bars, but I do (didn't ride anything narrow but the handling was good), didn't like the pedals, had to keep reminding myself I have a dropper, we could get in me thinks.

  10. Ghost has been through so much as well. So happy to see she's found a new family.

  14. Mixed emotions reading this... Who remembers that questions only thread, I remember asking something along the lines of what to do when you hit loose sand and you know you're gonna see your arse, and Barry responded with 'Stay loose?' From that day every time i did something where i was oh fark - I'm gonna wipe - i had this imagined voice in an Irish accent saying 'Stay loose Uni' Then I remember the first time I heard Barry on 702 and I was thinking the bugger doesn't even sound Irish. C'mon dude, think of all the sweet treats you're missing out on. When you get out we gotta go get that ink you were thinking of. We'll cover up those scars IanJ as always - kudos to you and Husky Rescue. No doubt you'll let us know if Barry's pack are in need of anything.
  15. I'm a huge Dylan fan myself but this cover I think hits the spot for me orginal version Audrae Mae
  16. OH had the weekend off and decided he wanted to go to Lesotho. Not the best time for me but since we've been discussing traveling as much as possible, and neither of us had ever been to Lesotho, I figured cool, though I knew I was in for some k@k up hills and some f@@@rk downhills. What I didn't expect was to be thwarted by a t-bar ski lift. To be able to ride down, you first need to get up, and I couldn't even get dragged up the freakin mountain. #facepalm Eventually caught a lift in a van and got in a few kms OH fell on his first attempt on the downhill tracks , busted his shifter and wore out his brakes big time. Watching all the ppl continuously going up, coming down, my OH and I keep musing - this is a young man sport
  17. Ok, let me try again - based on the highlighted bit below It's not a possibility - it's a fact. Current site sponsors / advertisers / and the occasional paid for bumped advert is paid for. That is one of the ways the hub makes money. The guys work their arses off not just for the love of cycling, they need to pay the bills (and buy bike bits too). there's no point allowing to filter out advertisers / or paid posts - because they annoy you. The reason these people pay for adverts is because they have a captive market in you and me. If the site allowed you to filter this out - then there is no return on investment for the advertisers, they stop advertising, the hub stops making money, they either have to shut up shop - or start charging. Tell me you get that - even as frustrating as it might be.
  18. Take the information Carbon29er has imparted and ignore how he's decided to impart this information. Bear in mind the hub is a business, you are part of the product, so is are the businessees that pay to advertise. If you remember that maybe next time you can just sigh, and click through the paid for adverts. P.S terms like moffietown -really unwarranted.
  19. Just a thought guys, I don't know Barry personally but from that post from Kevin - I think we all need to give them some breathing room instead of asking him about bank details etc. i think the admin side of things is the last thing on their minds right now. No doubt when they family are ready to reach out they will.
  20. My brother in law that worked with Barry told me about it yesterday. While I've never met Barry, always enjoy chatting on Twitter and seeing what crazy things he's up to. Still chuckled about his comment about the Corsa not being a Kuga. C'mom boet. The world needs you. Fight and fight some more. Anyone in touch with the family, if they need help someone going to feed the dogs and just give them hugs, I can help. I doubt non family will be allowed to visit in hospital, but if we are, also happy to pull in and shared the hub love.
  21. I think it's the only way it will happenIn 2010 we went to Santiago, Chile to see the pixies, got to see Kim Deal so even though they will be here in March, I still feel we got the full package. When we got back , decided next trip would be to Germany to see Rammstein, and they announced a few weeks later Rammstein were coming. So there's a pattern, if I take one for the team, he'll come here after I've traveled across the world to see him. After being so close, and missing my opportunity in Manchester, I must.
  22. Just had a look Seriously contemplating this... And feeling Poland R720 for golden circle tickets, flights about R12k.
