  1. Sweet build man. May I ask why you are not using the internal cable routing on the chain stay for the rear brake?
  2. Did the commentators on SS get it wrong? I heard them say that Powless was in yellow.
  3. A sad day indeed. Beautiful bike!
  4. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  5. I take back my comments from yesterday. Sagan is definitely in form.
  6. He was already boxed in because he initially lost Wout's wheel. He regained the wheel, but was against the wall and Jakobsen... and then proceeded to attempt taking a gap that was not there. Twice. But hey, I'm just a judge on a couch.
  7. I thought the same. Form perhaps not there as he would like and then trying to force spaces where there are none.
  8. Wasn’t even aware that this was a thing, but it happened years ago with my 6+. Stabiliser gone.
  9. Well said! Was at 2-day and I will be back. Maybe the descent next year.
  10. Ag 'Dale always the voice of reason. Well said.
  11. Prob the most sound advice so far
  12. I wasn't aware of bikehub clothing... I'd be interested to show off that I'm a hubber.
  13. We need close ups later 😉
  14. I have the normal deluxe on my Hyrax and around 75kg, but I don't have spacers in. Running it at close to 30% sag and feels fine to me. I'm not the most aggressive rider/jumper though (for now)
  15. Very cool. Can't wait to see the pics.
  16. Oh goodie!! Please do keep us posted. Are those carbon seat stays or are they just painted black? Custom paint on the top tube? My Hyrax does not have that insignia on the top tube.

  18. Not to unnecessarily start a debate again on this, but I did Berg & Bush over the weekend (first time) and wanted to give my perspective on the ebikes encountered on the route. Firstly, what an amazing race. Enjoyed the route, the organisation, the race village set-up, etc. Secondly, it's the most ebikes I've seen in one place. Having read the comments on this thread beforehand, I was very attentive to behaviour of all the people on ebikes. I can honestly say that I did not encounter one issue with a single person on an ebike. The closest to any sort of incident came as I was ascending spioenkop. I was snaking (using all the road) up the climb in an attempt to make the gradient more bearable. A fellow on an ebike came past me, but he had the patience to wait until I was off to one side and passed on the other, so he did not impede me at all. I was worried about less skilled ebikers ascending fast and descending slow, but I was never held up by a person on an ebike. It needs to be said that we did make an attempt to time the descents so as to not be held up.
  19. Cold morning today at Berg & Bush, but a lovely day out.
  20. I’d rather leave my helmet at home.
