  1. Thank you so much to the MoveSafe personnel, constantly supporting cyclists at the top of the uphill next to Valverde. There was also a young chap, sweeping the cycle lane in the cradle on Saturday
  2. Hello Lact. Just curious as to why you decided Lake Como ? Its a very touristy area, i.e. very unnecessarily expensive and does not stand out for cycling. Example, in SA you could do the Tokai forest or the Argus route. You opted to do the ride around Hartebeespoort dam? Having said that, try and bring your own bike, and to stay in one of the towns around the lake, not necessarily Como. (the hiring of a decent bike - converted back to rands, and you will have bought a new bike) Enjoy yourself, as this is a beautiful part of Italy. The full round trip around the lake, looks like an upside-down Y is roughly 200km.
  3. Hello Tayyib. Thanks for your well wishes. In fact you also have realised that this is not the official Cyclelab rides. Its very difficult to control individuals who want to do their own thing. My initial concern is that your post has a heading ... Cyclelab running reds. This is not the case. Happy riding to you too.
  4. Hello EdEdEd. I have no need to use the N14. Also looking at this numberplate, the owner could have more than one vehicle.
  5. Hahaha, I wish I had personalised number plates
  6. Hello Cellar. I do know where the CycleLab members are on saturday mornings, and on which routes too. Its not that difficult when you are in well organised groups. However, this incident occurred away from our usual routes, on a different day.
  7. Hello Brogue. Thanks for the compliment, I am a stand-up kinda guy. However, they were not my club mates as the times and location do not correspond.
  8. Ok, ok, no sense of humour ..... fake shirts hope that's better
  9. Hey Brogue .... Did you read the response above. I believe that you are the lame one.
  10. I am a dick. If some f%#@$r cuts me off, im going to make sure he hears about it, and no, I do not overtake at speed on the left hand side.
  11. Hello Tayyib , just to answer your question ... On the first page of this thread, the heading reads ..... Started by Tayyib, Apr 26 2014 04:05 with all respect, if you wrote this at 04:05 am on the 26th April, which is very early on Saturday morning, you predicted the future by a few hours? This cannot be. The route is way off from the clubs rides route, and the time does not correspond.. I appreciate this thread for public awareness, but I believe you have the wrong group of cyclists. The above description of riding that you witnessed, is definitely not in the club rules.
  12. push girlfriend up every hill pull your brakes on downhills and pedal fast take brakes off girlfriends bike and pour honey into your wheel bearings wake up 1 hour before girlfriend and scout out the whole course for any dangers take water out of your camelback and pour in liquid concrete practise summersaults every now and again so you lag behind, and then catch up although some of these are tongue in cheek, you get the message
  13. The first thing you need is patience. Next years 94,7 sub 3 is do-able after the training. You need to gradually build up to an average speed to 33km/hr. When you have done this, you will get an adequate start seeding.
  14. I thought you said your wheels were illegal ???
  15. Hello Tayyib. In fact Cyclelab do not ride that route. Is it possible they were just some guys with fake (parallel import - grey) Cyclelab shirts? Looking at your post at 4am on the 26th i.e. i'm guessing your sighting was on the 25th? Its highly unlikely you see a group of official Cyclelab that large on a Friday morning/afternoon. The larger groups can be found on a Saturday at the cradle. I am not giving you an official response from Cyclelab on this, as I am only a club member. If this has caused you any inconvenience or discomfort , I do apologise but I have seen photographs of lesser "crimes" on these posts. This could help us keep a tighter discipline in future - but still doubt it was The Club

  17. Would you have reported this, if they hadn't passed you ? i.e. you were stronger than them.
  18. Haha, youre actually quite funny. Do we know each other?
  19. "Lance Armstrong: "Yes, I Feel Like I Won the Races" " unfortunately, its not about how you feel .... but what is written in the history books. You deny in front of the world, and then come up with this ... total loss of respect

mmmm, you have not read the whole post mortem err I mean you have not seen the whole video. At the end you get a shot of the computer display
  21. All the modern rules are just to equate the riding style and equipment used, to the original record breakers of the 50's, 60's and 70's. If you take the modern riders, and put them on the equipment of 30-40 years ago, with the same diets, the only thing they will break is a few matchsticks I welcome a new record holder, but legends are far and few between.
  22. Yip, that window is definitely a fake ! Should be California Redwood
  23. What is written on the organisers information sheet .... "Late entries Late line entries will only be accepted at the registration venues as indicated, not on the day of the race. Urgent note: A penalty fee of R60 will be applicable for all distances on the MTB as well as the road events. No seeding for late entries, you will be seeded in the non seeded groups" Clearer than this?
  24. What organiser do you know of, that will give a seeding at late registration, 2 days before the event ? These first time posters (trolls) with agendas, please go and get a life.
