  1. New bike day. They the best!! Time to enjoy the Hatta mountain range in Dubai.
  2. Must have been a Land Rover .....
  3. Whoa! That was a close call. Nearly thought we had lost you forever.
  4. You ruining that word for me... Please don’t touch “voetsek” it’s my favorite!
  5. I enjoyed it. Watched it with my family. For sure the accuracy wasn’t great BUT what it did achieve was to spark great interest by my wife and kids into Le Mans and the love stories around Ferrari. Could this have been done on facts alone without embellishment? Not sure... So I’m ok with the movie. However....what is NEVER acceptable in ANY circumstance is when Hollywood make a thumping four stroke sound like a screaming 2-smoker!! I mean come on..
  6. Amazing work again David. Thank you. Awesome site and data :-)
  7. I seemed to get a little ahead of myself there!! Too much excitement.
  8. Ross Branch LEADING the Dakar!!! What a bojtjie.... Smashing today's stage for the win and overall lead race lead. I've had the displeasure of "racing" against this chap in sand before... They don't call him "THE KALAHARI FERRARI" for nothing :-) :-)
  9. Maybe it was for love....
  10. Sand.....Sand everywhere!!
  11. Nothing is ever free. Someone, somehow is paying for it. And that someone is the consumer... ;-)
  12. Bugs the hell out of me. It’s like watching Fast & Furious reruns.
  13. And when those two options are absent then just make sure you waste the innocent persons time as they fight it at the public prosecutors.

When will they learn! And it’s not just the cyclists.. https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/935154/1/iannone-suspended-failing-fim-drugs-test
  16. https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/live-loadshedding-round-up-sa-suffering-rolling-blackouts-as-eskom-battles-to-keep-grid-operational-20191210 Not anymore, it’s now THAT bad!
  17. For all those asking “UPS” questions. Please understand that most UPS’s are designed to supply power long enough to shut down attaches devices. They are not designed to act as standby power. Using them as an alternative power source during load shedding is not ideal. The batteries they use are not designed to be run flat and recharged all the time. They will not last and also take an enormous amount of time to recharge, so anything higher than Stage 2 will probably drain more than they can charge. A pure sine small inverter generator or a low watt inverter with a proper deep cycle battery will repay itself over and over in the long run in my opinion. Above, personal opinion with some experience in killing a few 2000w UPS’s in home office.
  18. I was a happier person before you went and put it THAT way!
  19. I’m on the other side of fast. You need not worry :-) Look forward to hooking up a ride soon!!
  20. Nice. My daily stomping ground. Live 5km from that car park. [emoji106]
  21. My go to setup which never let me down even in pitch darkness. 1. 2000 lumen handlebar light with a good battery 2. 400 lumen light mounted to helmet 3. Garmin Radar mounted to seatpost 4. Bontrager flashing rear light Besides having a redundant light both sides for flat battery situations they all played very well together. Bright light on handlebar with a wide beam, really took all the effort out of seeing (please consider runners and pedestrians with bright lights as you will blind them) also found the bright light was a good security feature as you could see far more than a perp trying to see what he’s up against (my theory). The helmet light allows you to see where you looking, so looking at your Garmin, checking what gear you in, looking next to the road and most importantly, allowing you to see what you doing when performing road side repair (limping to a well lit petrol station is always a winner as well). Garmin radar probably the best device I’ve ever purchased, unbelievably accurate and perfectly integrated into head unit. Plan smart routes, keep them lower risk especially if riding alone. Get everything 100% ready the night before and enjoy!!
  22. I was forced to be a 4am rider many years back due to training for some stage races, working a hard job and being a full time father and husband. I hated it, struggled to get out of bed and did it out of pure necessity. One day, in the dead quiet of the darkness, just me, my thoughts and the sound of the tyres on the road everything changed. It’s now my favorite time to ride. I don’t need to ride early anymore but it’s become my happy place.
  23. Ok.....Completed my efiling on Friday (29th Nov). Was happy to be able to change security details at login to use email as my mobile is non existent after the move (note to anyone who might move overseas, you will underestimate how much it’s used for OTP’s, password recoveries etc, so plan well!) Woke up this morning and my refund is in my account!! So great work by SARS in my case, very happy.
  24. Exploring the desert with my eldest son while watching the sun rise. Doesn’t get much better than that!!
  25. Aaaa fek. I’m old. About time you lot show your respect and start calling me Oom.
