  1. There a very good YouTube video I watched wheee they interviewed past team managers in NASCAR. They shared stories of rule bending and breaking. Was interesting. Also, it’s a common practice in F1 to have a non native English speaking person read and interpret the rules. Their interpretation in a literal sense often instigates design against the rules. An example of this was the split diffuser design on the Braun car that Button won in.
  2. This thread name should be changed to “Veganism or die”. Because as far as I can see from the purists there is no path or acceptance to absolutely anything else. You either Vegan or you are spending your life 24/7 kicking dogs, burning plastic and tossing oil into the oceans.
  3. Those are the little gaps you have between the hard intervals. Now, to fuel for hard intervals I think one bowl of concrete should do the trick.
  4. From South Africa all the way to Dubai. I had to pack up my entire life’s collection of tools, from my apprenticeship, to my motorsport days, to cycling and just general tools. Sold a lot and squeezed the rest into this roller cab and Snap-On box. Nothing else but a compressor and car jack came along. Inside you’ll find Snap-on, Knipex, Makita LXT, Mititoyo, Beta, JBS, KingTony, ParkTool, BluePoint, Norbar and more. I’ve bought tools from my first pay cheque. Bankrupted myself in the back of a Snap-on van more than once and have not regretted it for a second! Each tool can tell a story or two. Ok but what have I learnt. Buy the best tools you can afford, look after them and you’ll NEVER replace them and they will still be handed down to your kids. Use them as they were intended to be used. A screwdriver is not a chisel. Side cutters are NOT wire cutters. Organise your tools, easy to find when you need them and easy to see what’s missing when you done. And finally, if you tightening a bolt and it strips.....back it off half a turn. My biggest fear.....when I die my wife sells all my tools for what she thinks I paid for them.....
  5. As does anyone who’s ever raced a motorcycle. One of my most favorite tools! And agree, so satisfying to use and see you perfect twisty work.

    MotoGP

Yeah. Agree. Pretty much what happened in all motorsports. The Ferrari was built for Schumacher back in the day, the Mclaren for Senna. Teammates who had different styles struggled, those that had the same we “kept out” of the 2nd seat by the 1st driver as much as possible. Suppose the trick for BB is to stay relative and remain on people’s short list while staying healthy and un injured at the same time. Easier said than done. I have met him a few times through a mutual friend, even been on a few MTB rides, he’s a good lad, I’m rooting for him big time.

    MotoGP

Currently I recon no brands are stand out “factory”. Only Marc can ride the Honda, the Ducati is meh, Yamaha old bikes better than the new ones, Suzuki ok but who should have thought...So maybe KTM a good choice to cut his teeth on?
  9. Something less scientific or easier to read perhaps. No rush, later, tomorrow. That article seemed to compare healthy plant vs. unhealthy plant. Maybe I got confused.
  10. You got a link to this study/article? Would like to understand this “live way longer” statement. Be interesting to see how many people were studied, nationalities, and what age they moved to full plant based if not from birth. Understand this might be multiple articles and not just one of course.
  11. I don’t see any major wins in his future, sorry. He went to TDD already past his peak speed wise but still had experience/strategy on his side so could still pull off the odd win. I was shocked when they resigned him for 2019. Don’t get me wrong, I loved watching him in his prime. But these new boys have cranked it up a few notches. He can’t match their power and speed.
  12. How many grams of meat would one need to eat a day to get the recommended dosage of B12? I got as far as reading it’s 2.4 micrograms. Then got bored/lost trying to figure out what that translates too in a piece of steak as some gets lost in the absorption process.
  13. If you think it’s going to take 30min, plan 1 hour. Don’t attempt major repairs the night before a big race!!
  14. Dammit!!! I’ve been busy today and look what I’ve missed out on!! FOMO
  15. Wife made this Vegan Pizza tonight. Mostly ok but the “cheese” was cashew nuts, crushed with some other stuff with yeast and it was k@k.
  16. Imagine relying on some software trickery that is hidden in the code to adjust your brake bias correctly at over 300km/h. I mean what could possible go wrong if it thinks you at a different corner! Crazy to think at what drivers are risking themselves against these days.

  18. Preventative Maintenance, Safety Measures & Redundancies . Nobody like to spend money and time on that until....... (insert lots of poo and a fan here) Then listen to the excuses on why it went wrong.
