  1. I will recommend Goodridge hoses - they are great. If you want any hoses and just make them work, it will prob be easier to go via LBS, only pay for what you use
  2. I concur. Tokai is also beautiful, another very beautiful loop is Paarl rock - there is a lot of climbing, but the views (apparently) breathtaking.
  3. Ahhh yes... the Fury... That is a very beautiful weapon!
  4. Thanx Capricorn - makes perfect sense. The good news is that TLD is back in South Africa...
  5. This might be a stupid question, but what are the main diff between MX and MTB full-face helmets? I would imagine better cooling and lighter for MTB?
  6. no... pimping - entirely different ballgame
  7. Also heard very good things about the e*thirteen bash.....
  8. Just a pity the chainrings are not black as well - but I think the concept works
  9. All I am saying is.....
  10. I have heard this from quite a few guys in the know. Go big or go home - through axle will give you a lot less flex in the fork and make for a smoother trail ride. I read somewhere that the fork flexes up to 6" before it breaks! Not that I have heard of anybody actually breaking a fork due to flex, but still, 6" is quite a bit. If you are not sure, flex is the movement of the fork that is similar to the yellow-pages animated symbol of some time ago? If you would use your middel and first finger to 'walk' - that is the flex spoken about - hope that makes sense?
  11. Let me know if you stuck for a bike though - The Meta is avail, small, but with 400mm post, or the i-drive, but 4" might just not be enough I am building the TREK back up over the next few days so there is another small bike avail for the learners
  12. Think it is Rush Sports - spoken with them in the past they are are on the ball - not sure why the LBS did not know. Sounds more like a LBS issue than an agent issue though.
  13. Hijack? Where do you guys buy your pads and armour from? So far I am not really able to find 661 and 510 stockists locally Hijack off...
  14. Very cool! Please post before and after pics with some feedback
  15. For XC, you are gonna miss the clipless on the climbs. Trail - even though clipless almost always will be faster if you don't fall, nothing beats the confidence of knowing you can pop a foot off without even thinking about it, or in a steep turn etc.
  16. Very much so - that is an excellent (not to say very brave) idea!
  17. Oh yeah - the opsite will also disolve the scab, so when you clean it again (maybe first time after a day or two) the embedded grit will be in the plasma as the roasty is dissolved - facilitating cleansing. I was incredibly impressed with the product Wernervdmerwe2010-02-21 04:57:16
