  1. Hahaha - I will relay your message... Thanks a million!
  2. Thanks guys - don't need it to take mine off anymore, wanted to take it off to clean it for the Burger tomorrow, but managed (with a chainring nick to my hand) to do it on the bike. Droo, can I give you some bucks for the puller, might be cheaper to buy yours than to buy plasters everytime... and toys for the dog to apologize shouting at him... and supper for the wife after she laughed when I hurt myself... I am sure you understand
  3. Cool - thought I'd moved away from crank pullers when I bought the ext BB cranks!
  4. This might be a stupid question, but where does the dust cap go? This is what it looked like before removing the crank bolt..
  5. Oh dear... So then how does the crank actually come off?
  6. The cap was removed with a 8mm, but now there's no more bolts? (just a blob of grease inside)Wernervdmerwe2009-07-30 08:58:58
  7. Where is this 'second bolt'?
  8. How does one remove said cranks? The Stylo's are easy, they have self-extracting bolts, but the RaceFace I can't figure out - there is the dust cap that one unscrew easy, but then nothing, and on the other side just the gaping hole like the crank is laughing at you. Any help?
  9. I would be careful of that statement - I know of quite a lot of competitive guys who prefer coils... The problem with coil is that your 'cheap' forks are all coil - that throws a shadow over the entire range. Much like the stigma around Raleigh - they make good bikes, but because of the Game range, people sometimes tend to not give it its worth.
  10. Hi Aimee, we are a small group of guys and wifes that cycle over weekends, not that fit and we have some very unfit guys that sometimes join us. My wife left MTB for horse riding, but we still have one MTB lady and another lady that jogs with us when we do certain trails. If you want, I can let you know when we are riding and whether or not there will be other ladies in the group for that day? We are in Blouberg
  11. Pity, still wanted to order a set of wheels from them!
  12. Sounds like it was great fun. What was the time you guys did it in? Would like to time the trail and when I am within say 30 min from you guys' time I will definitely pull in for the next one!
  13. How do they damage your d?railleur though?
  14. I am all for the PC-971 - not worth the bucks to go 991
  15. Very very nice!
  16. I agree with Matchstix, I am 87 and would not go for teh Crossrides, maybe look at the Crosstrail?
  17. Yup, also fell often in the beginning. I went from SPD to Look, which un-clips a lot easier until I go more used to it (the ones I had, you could un-clip normally by bringing the heel out or in), or by peeling the foot of - went back to SPD's soon as I had the hang of it sorta, as the easy un-clip actually becomes annoying, especially if you are climbing and want to do a great push, but end up almost throwing yourself off the bike as your foot unclipped.. The guys behind me always found that very funny though - so it has it's perks
  18. Oooeeeee this happening again? Thought after the last time... well..
  19. Yup - they always wanted to focus on being more a workshop than a trading store, that was how they started and that's their passion. They are good at it as well - and quite busy!
  20. I agree, the ride-on is the way to go. They were a bit pricey for me, so I got a four bike one from CRC which was about R4500 (twinny I think it is called)
  21. lol - riiiight, now THAT sucks
  22. Right - so not the best tool on the market... Anyone got anything that works? Apparently if I want to go the chain guide option, I need to lose a chain ring, which I don't want to do.
