  2. The hoods are left/right specific. I have located a set of NOS hoods from which we will make the moulds. Ready in probably a month. I have three sets of Suntour levers without hoods but one pair already accounted for.
  3. I may have a pair of levers for you but they don't have hoods. I am in the process of arranging to have a mould made for the hoods whereafter I will let you know.Finding NOS SunTour aero hoods is virtually impossible.
  4. Recognise this frame?
  5. That Concorde is beautiful. Lovely build once again!!!!
  6. I can't comment on carbon as the only carbon bikes I have are an Alan carbon (sold) and Vitus carbonio. Did ride my wife's C40 when she wasn't looking but not set up to my size.
  7. My two cents: Master xLight - very racy and great on the hills, very responsive and lively:Master 30 year anniv- bit more relaxed but you feel the bit of extra weight (both bikes built with 11spd SR and Hyperon tubby's)Super '88 with SR/50yr anniv parts - great allrounder and fun to ride. More flex than Master's. A lot more stable due to longer wheel base and curved forkDream Lux - great all day ride, stable and it was a pleasure riding (initially Record 9 speed but upgraded to Record 10 speed), regret selling the bike
  8. Yes, agree. The Master is after all still a square frame. Cameron tell us what size frame you are wanting to determine stack height and I am sure one of the owners will oblige with a measurement for you.
  9. Easiest way to measure stack height is to take the vertical measurement from the top of the head tube to the floor (with wheels attached to frame) and then the vertical measurement from the middle of BB to the floor. Deduct the BB figure from the HS figure to get the stack height. Reach is taken laterally from middle of stem and steerer tube to outer edge of the rear wheel (place the bike against a wall).
  10. Thank you Mett, still one of my favourite bikes, Vitus 979 and Alan Super Record! Thank you for sharing the article.
  11. The white Walls are the least of the problems for the frame. That ugly groupset
  12. Agreed, from least attractive to most attractive!
  13. WANTED, Campagnolo Nuovo Record or Nuovo Super Record seatpin 27.2mm diameter. The Record doesn't have flutes.
  14. Nice find at a great price. I can organise you some reproduction hoods. PM me for details or see https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/354576-campagnolo-hoods/
  15. Contact Moosa 9749286883. He is based in CT around the corner from you. I can recommend the quality of his work.
  16. With much sadness I have decided to sell my Pinarello Montello project as the frame is just to big for me and I have to many projects at the moment. https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=hubmarket&module=core&do=view_item&item_id=369271&new=1
  17. Very nice find. Now you need a Shimano AX groupset to go with it.
  18. Looks like Di Data have been awarded the Maglia Nera jersey by cyclist.co.uk! Quote "Score: 2/10 Best on GC: Ben O’Connor, 32nd Best stage result: 5th (Stage 3, 10, 18) I’m not fully convinced that Dimension Data were even at this Giro d’Italia. Barely present in the breakaways, no threat on any of the sprint stages and not a single rider in the top 30th of General Classification. Dimension Data seemed to be at this year’s race as a formality with no real intentions of doing anything. Sure, bike riders are only human but this was a very poor showing that only furthered the team's problems. If the Tour de France returns similar results for Africa’s team, you have to worry for their future in cycling’s WorldTour."End quote.
  19. PLEASE NOTE the nude hoods, #4 will darken to #3 gum color after exposed to the sun and may be suitable for show bikes kept indoors.
  20. So over the past few weeks a mate of mine has experimented with having reproduction hoods made for brake levers that we can't readily get locally and have to import. Campagnolo NR/SR and older style Shimano Dura Ace / 600 1st generation hoods were made and a few sold. The feedback has been positive, thank you. I am pleased to advise that more moulds have been made and we are now ready to take orders for the following hoods: Modolo Using the best hood available to us we have made the left/right specific Modolo hoods to fit the Professional, Master, Speedy, Corsa, Team and Superprestige levers. Mafac Again, using the best hood available to us we have made Mafac hoods for the Course and Competition none aero levers from the 60's to 80's Suntour These none aero hoods are for the Superb Pro and Cyclone levers Dura Ace ax These aero hoods are for the ax groupset range and where often found in a powder blue color. We haven't experimented with blue as yet so only available in gum, chocolate brown, brown and black at this stage. We are still taking orders for the following: Campagnolo Hoods for the Nouvo Record/Super Record levers Shimano Hoods for the 1st generation Dura Ace and 600 levers Please place orders by sending me a personal message or WhatsApp (0730693979) for the hoods you require. All hoods will continue to be sold for R485 a pair. The hoods should be ready within the next 10 to 15 days. The colors at the moment are NUDE (these hoods will darken after exposed to the sun and are only suitable for show bikes kept indoors), GUM, BROWN, CHOCOLATE BROWN and BLACK. See pictures but feel free to chat.
  21. Please correct me if I am wrong but isn't a gravel bike a MTB with drops and 700 wheels?
