OK, the Alpina looks older. I was basing my comments on the brake levers which would appear to be an "upgrade" to the bike in the mid to late 80's. I would recommend you search the net to establish and date the older parts of the gruppo to get a more accurate date of the frame. Try Woodstock cycles, they may have some Shimano hoods. Alternative is to import hoods. BTW the Alpina looks a mid 80's model and not 60's. Post some more pics for a clearer view.

Finally finished my Alan Carbonio after finding a crank and RD.

11-28 or 11-32 sprockets work fine and try long reach RD (from MTB range) if you have issues with chain clearance. Alternatively this works well, as seen on my FW Evans.
