  1. csa do nothing that you would notice. I would not call them useless as they can always be held up as a bad example. I challenge them to tell us what they do for us. Take our cash for zip then shaft you more 'csa levy' at the large races. See the letters and editorial comment in latest and previous RIDE magazines for a bit more on this.
  2. My question concerns Avid Elixir CRs with taperbore technology. Seems these brakes were extremely tight and i twiddled the pad contact adjuster to no avail. Seems I figured to myself that there was simply too much fluid in the things and consequently the pistons cannot retract properly in the body of the caliper due to the pressure of too much fluid. So - Can this happen? If I let a few drops out will it help? I know not to let air in though.
  3. I use them when I ride the Ducati. They are available from all pharmacies - i find the menthol ones to be irritating.

    My Race

I would like to know why we are being forced to be ripped off. R75 (Twice) is nothing really but it is the principle of it all! Seems that if you are unfortunate to live in Gauteng and are a Roag member then you will be ripped off in this regard! It is a protection racket by the looks of it. Join a local club and pay them or join roag and pay gauteng cycling - for nothing! I said i was going to give it up but I cant . here comes a heart attack or popped vein or something.Mutt2010-02-12 05:07:58

    My Race

myrace, csa, gauteng cycling - All rubbish. What do they do for us NOTHING? Seems that you pay R75 to csa FOR NOTHING, then gauteng cycling want another R75 for NOTHING, then come 94.7 they rob us of another few rand for NOTHING. sorry - development, sending teams overseas etc.are not issues i care for. who paid for my development? Me, my parents - thats who. I care about safety for cyclists, security, awareness of the issues we face on the road or trail, cycling lanes, initiatives to ride to work and related topics. I'm going to let this go before I give myself a heart attack!Mutt2010-02-12 04:41:24

  9. I emailed SS Timing and ther response is as follows. Matt Thanks for letting me know. You can either post it to: Spectrum Sport PO Box 4528 Vanderbijlpark 1900 Or you can drop it off at our next timed event
  10. ? Yes, but Nokia works the best, then HTC, then Ericsson, then Samsung. The Apple Iphone doesnt work because its just a big Ipod. Promise it works...doesn't matter which cellphone. but the band thing sounds interesting. someone buy one and "disect" it for us and post the findings sod off - i have better places to waste five hundred bucks - you buy one to disect

  12. So thats 2 that agree and I am sure many more too! - I tried to call my wife so she could advise what i have to kick off the bidding but she is out gallivanting. I shall check tonight what I have.
  13. so lets stop giving stuff to this development mob and give a bit to the SAP. I believe Randburg has a few officers who are MTBers and regularly patrol the spruit and other places
  14. Lets organise a mass awareness / protest ride! Not cause any havoc in the traffic though. Marchers protest something all the time.
  15. OK - i'll open the bidding. Oil the pedals. Had the clicking thing and dosed them with Q20. Clcking gone! They are SPD MTB pedals though.
  16. I have one too. Was going to try call them on Monday and find out where to send it. Will post here if I remember to check.

  20. Yes - I got a cheap thinner one from Makro because I found the OKO was a bit thick and took an age to seal the tyre first time. I put in about 1/4 thin sealant and 3/4 OKO and it worked very well.
