  1. Officially part of the Cannondale family, or lefty...
  2. no proper cyclist would scratch a seat post like that.
  3. I switched to Bontrager tyres, but any big name brand wil do.
  4. I wouldn't use them for a bike-packing trip, just too unreliable. I cycled around 1100km on them with numerous issues. They are also heavy, so i've saved 700grams with just fitting other tyres on.
  5. Did you see all the other stuff this person is selling, I wonder if it's all stolen.
  6. New regulations in the making regarding tubing dimensions, shape and positioning of the seat post. "The leaked document suggests big changes are ahead with that 2.5 cm minimum thickness set to change to just 1 cm, meanwhile the 1 cm thickness restrictions to seatstays and chainstays appear to have been removed altogether." https://cyclingtips.com/2020/10/new-uci-tech-rules-leaked-is-bike-design-about-to-get-a-shake-up/?fbclid=IwAR0cXohGgKK1R8185Uuoi3nSFl-R6t8Yt5HzZ7tQyFtiaoA5folUqrqjgsU
  7. Just ordered bars yesterday, arrived this morning. Worth paying for shipping.
  8. Hi Everyone, Does anyone stock Manitou fork decals locally? Or have artwork at hand. There are companies offering to print them, but thought it's easier and cheaper just to buy already printed ones.
  9. Hi Storm, Things that's important to me on a gravel bike is hydraulic brakes (that's where the money is) and the correct gear ratio. I ride a 2x11 48-34 / 11-32, which is perfect for me on the road and most off-road riding.
  10. Awesome, thank you. Can definitely save 1kg by changing the fork. But for now i'm happy.
  11. Here's another pic of my Farr Gravel Bike. I haven't even looked at my road bike since getting her This bike is just too comfy.
  12. What does the fork weigh, I'm considering switching to carbon if it will save some weight.
  13. Contact Jaco: jaco@positivesportssolutions.co.za , also waiting for a rim replacement since January. Apparently their emails weren't syncing or something.
  14. Nice, I have the same wheelset. How are these tyres on the road? As I do about 80% road on my gravel bike.
  15. I bought a Farr frame and built with GRX groupset, 105 shifters and rapide wheels. Thought I would change the fork to carbon but absolutely love the bike at the moment. Just perfect for adventure riding.
  16. Rondo is not local but amazing bikes: https://community.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/gear-news/rondo-rolls-into-south-africa-with-switchback-sports-r7383
  17. I would change the chainrings to compact 50-34 or semi compact, 52-36 that said, your cassette will have big jumps when shifting, so for smoother shifting go to a 11-32 or 11-28 depending on the terrain you will cycle in.
  18. Did you weigh the fork separate? I'm too lazy to take mine off and weigh it.
  19. Would you say the Lauf is worth it or a rigid carbon fork for a gravel bike?
  20. I Know some specialized stores were selling Supacaz bar tape. Maybe phone Spaz Stellies.
  21. Hi, I used a bottom pull fd, My cable just comes from the bottom with my rd cable. Will send a poc tomorrow
