  1. Just ordered bars yesterday, arrived this morning. Worth paying for shipping.
  2. Hi Everyone, Does anyone stock Manitou fork decals locally? Or have artwork at hand. There are companies offering to print them, but thought it's easier and cheaper just to buy already printed ones.
  3. Hi Storm, Things that's important to me on a gravel bike is hydraulic brakes (that's where the money is) and the correct gear ratio. I ride a 2x11 48-34 / 11-32, which is perfect for me on the road and most off-road riding.
  4. Awesome, thank you. Can definitely save 1kg by changing the fork. But for now i'm happy.
  5. Here's another pic of my Farr Gravel Bike. I haven't even looked at my road bike since getting her This bike is just too comfy.
  6. What does the fork weigh, I'm considering switching to carbon if it will save some weight.
  7. Contact Jaco: jaco@positivesportssolutions.co.za , also waiting for a rim replacement since January. Apparently their emails weren't syncing or something.
  8. Nice, I have the same wheelset. How are these tyres on the road? As I do about 80% road on my gravel bike.
  9. I bought a Farr frame and built with GRX groupset, 105 shifters and rapide wheels. Thought I would change the fork to carbon but absolutely love the bike at the moment. Just perfect for adventure riding.
  10. Rondo is not local but amazing bikes: https://community.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/gear-news/rondo-rolls-into-south-africa-with-switchback-sports-r7383
  11. Insane:) even the cow wants to lick it.
  12. I would change the chainrings to compact 50-34 or semi compact, 52-36 that said, your cassette will have big jumps when shifting, so for smoother shifting go to a 11-32 or 11-28 depending on the terrain you will cycle in.
  13. Any carbon gravel forks laying around?
  14. Did you weigh the fork separate? I'm too lazy to take mine off and weigh it.
  15. Would you say the Lauf is worth it or a rigid carbon fork for a gravel bike?
  16. I Know some specialized stores were selling Supacaz bar tape. Maybe phone Spaz Stellies.
  17. Hi, I used a bottom pull fd, My cable just comes from the bottom with my rd cable. Will send a poc tomorrow
  18. I'm running GRX 810 derailleurs, crank and 105 shifters (grx shifters were way too expensive). My gearing is 2 x11, 48/31 crank and 11-32 cassette. So far i'm loving it.
  19. My frame is a porker, steel fork and frame. Maybe i'll get a carbon fork, but not too bothered about the weight. Road bike is 7,2 kg gravel bike is 12,5kg. I can't really compare my farr frame with a litespeed as the pricing difference is enormous.
  20. I have a Farr Steel Gravel bike. I love it. It's insane what the bike can do on gravel. You have to change your style of riding, or for me I had due to it being 5kg heavier than my road bike.
  21. I spoke to a guy who did it on an e-bike. He used 3 batteries, third one was almost flat. He was super chuffed on his 3:09 time. Do not really understand the reasoning of these riders. Went to the finish afterwards looking at the riders coming in, saw lots of ebike riders in good physical shape.
  22. Hi, i'm making the following adapter. If anyone needs one let me know. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/177590-adapter-for-flat-mount-caliper-on-post-mount-frame/
  23. Has anyone else made some adapters I can purchase? Just need one.
