The whole thing about red being faster only applies to cars NOT to bicycles. Stay with the BLUE but as SwissVan says, get rid of the red tyres.

The Holdfast one works really well. Believe it or not it is known as a "ladies bracket". What Mountain bike do you have. The Thule carrier which fits on the towbar and which consists of two "arms" on which you hang the bikes works with "most" full suspension bikes. Works on my Marin.

Keep them both as they are. Looks good.

Only between R4000 and R5000 They could probably shine the bark off trees !!! but they are good.I have a set of the Tripleshot. Am very happy with them. Buy them on the internet from one of the U,K, bike shops. They will be a lot cheaper that way.

No real Pattern . Two latish in the afternoon during the week between 4 and 5. Two on a Saturday between 9 and 10. The others seem mainly to have been mid to late afternoon. Between 7 and 8 attacks in the Cnturion area over the last 8 weeks. This last one seems to have followed almost the same modus operandi as the attack on Mathilda Barnard. probably the same people who have just moved their operations further out.

Hey., that is what I have been doing all along. The S.C. merely said that Momentum had made the bikes available. There is and was never any intention of trying to get 30 policemen/policewomen out there on bikes!

I disagree with you on this one. This is NOT a TOTAL waste of time. My discussions with the S.C. have been along the lines of what is being done in Randburg , namely to identify between 2 and 4 policemen in the area who are capable and interested. The idea would then be to elicit the assistance of a number of the cycle shops in the area to contribute towards kitting them out. I would also make contact with the Randburg guys who have indicated that they would be more than willing to assist in the setting up of such a group. ANY BETTER IDEAS ???? If so get in touch and get involved.

I had a Thule roof rack. Took an off ramp too quickly. heard a nasty bang and found my bike, still attached to the roofrack by the wheels, dangling next to my window. Frame had come out of the upright arm which is supposed to hold it in place. No damage to my wife's car but derailleur hanger broken, derailleur damaged . total cost about R2500. Probably my own fault for going too fast. I sold the roofrack shortly afterwards.
