  1. In that crazy rolling resistance test by the Germans the scale goes from 0-50. Sub 20 is super fast, 20-30 is fast, 30-40 is medium, 40-50 is very slow. The Nevego was the only tyre that scored a "out-of scale" result, and they tested almost all tyres.
  2. HAHAH Nevego on a Spez Epic 29er!
  3. I thought I was riding in mud when I tried the "Nevego" tyre, but I was riding on dry hardpack. It is a seriously slow rolling tyre. I also tried the Kenda Excavator which I found to be a similar grippy but better rolling than the Nevego. http://i01.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/579/887/112/112887579_124.jpg
  4. Criminals are taking away our freedom. If you avoid one area, the criminal moves to the next area until there is no more safe areas. As we give up our freedom, the criminal adapts, taking away some more freedom.
  5. Everybody should just go and take a "wheel-size-recommendation-signage" chill pill.
  6. Go Alonso steek hom!
  7. 29er with fat tyres, me wants it!!! http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/bikes/mountain-bikes/product/review-surly-krampus-13-46694/ http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/bikes-and-gear/bikes/mountain/1352113147098-qudu6iz3m6js-399-80.jpg
  8. http://surlybikes.com//uploads/bikes/moonlander-14_sv_930x390.jpg Get this bike, I you will own the PPA races with this thing, you can ride over the short distance slow asses.
  9. Damn wheelsize! I knew there must be a valid reason why Sauser rides away from me! I am going to sell my bikes. I am 1.72m. I will wait for the 650A wheelsize to be produced before I buy a mtb again.
  10. How clever of them that apparently according to that Sanral DO05 the system are now able to pick up vehicles with no plates, false plates and even no license disk. Surely then if they are so brilliant then the system should be able to tell the difference between a truck and a car with bikes on the roof, but this would lessen their loot.
  11. What type of question is that? I do not compute....you already wasted money on a 45min phone call, might as well go pay them.
  12. Also have a Giant with the same brakes making a big noise - mostly the rear. Fixed this with a Hope floating rotor.
  13. These mountain goats are gonna dish out pain in rich spoonfuls to the roadies on the climbs.
  14. Of all the many accidents involving recreational cyclists I have heard about, never has it been a case of "the cyclist swerved in front of me" or "it was dark and he/she had no light". As far as I recall most accidents are caused by the driver. I am not saying it is ok for cyclists to ride badly, I am saying that most accidents are like Burry`s where he did nothing wrong. Motorists don`t drive badly because cyclists cycle badly, they just think of cyclists negatively but I do not think this is an factor in most accidents.
  15. Remove the valve core and large syringe, but I never use bombs and I use tyres with sidewall protection, if you do not have this rather take your tyres off at least every 6 months and check the sealant and 2 molded rim strips with integrated valve
  16. Must get proper tyres with sidewall protection like the Maxxis Exo or Schwabbel Snakestink.
  17. I tend to follow recommendations because I work for Microsoft and when they recommend not doing something and you do it, something very bad always happen like a pc explodes and injures people.
  18. Is that not what bombs do to sealant? Stans recommend not using bombs with sealant, I have followed this and have never seen these things in my tyres. I only top-up a bit after 6-9 months without removing the tyre.
  19. Tubeless conversion requires that the 2 molded rim strips with integrated valve be replaced every 6 months according to Stans but maybe not necessary.

    Did U Lose your Noodle?

Can buy a small bag full of Noodles for R2,99 so I don`t think the driver will care about losing 1 Noodle.
  21. SA roads are extremely dangerous, caused by all types of road users. I fear using the road in my car, nevermind a bicycle. Accidents happen all the time, sometimes the cyclists fault, but more times the drivers fault, sometimes both at fault and no-ones fault, its just the one without the ton of metal armour always get more hurt. Only 1 sure way to make the roads safer for you, stay off it. Demanding respect and some patience is pointless, this is a 3rd world country with very dangerous roads and drivers, nothing will change that.
  22. The first thing bike thieves will do is remove the stem and lights. It will work well until the system becomes well known.
  23. Road cycling in SA, - the most dangerous sport on Earth, if you are not driven over by a truck, chances you will get attacked by armed thugs.
