    Mamba bite has got nothing on a puffy bite. A poisonous adder is the last snake I want to get bitten by.

    Puffys are very chilled out and I asure you it is not out to bite you. It is a beautiful animal and should never be killed. I respect and fear them but will never hurt them.

    The wheel base seems a bit long. Longer wheelbases makes for less agile handling.

    Another minor con is using a separate cassette to the 1 on your bike but the same chain. If wear is not even between bike and trainer then it will wear out the entire drivetrain quicker.

    Don`t blame the organizers blame the criminals and the justice system that fails to deter this type of criminality.

    The flooding is not an issue really - get a house on the hill with a sea view/Helderview. The N2 protests are only a problem if you have to travel on the N2. Crime levels I think is similar between Somerset West and Northern suburbs. Living in Somerset West is better because it is a bit less city-like but still has everything you need (best Woolies in the World), and you have the big mountains and the sea, less traffic, and better access to the nicest mtb trails.

    Afrikaans is very prominent in 1. Paarl, 2. Stellenbosch, and 3. Northern suburbs. If you need more Ingels then go for Southern Subs but property options are limited, lots of traffic, and mtb riding is limited.

    They will be about 25 - 35k/month. Finding c# devs is a bit difficult anywhere in the Cape. Paarl/Wellington will be very difficult to find devs. You will be able to find devs in the Somerset West/Stellenbosch areas but maybe not as easy as closer to the city, I am however not an expert on where it is easier to find devs, I am however an expert in cloud development so let me know if you ever need any of that, I can help put your web application in the cloud and make it scale if this is a requirement.

    About the internet, I also need it for dev work and Somerset West has wireless to cable providers like HX Sytems that can give you a proper unlimited 10mb connection. Look at these areas in Somerset West: Schonenberg Estate, Helderview, Steynsrust. If you enjoy riding with other people there are 2 active mtb clubs and many options for riding mtb with others.

    It is completely different worlds, 1st world vs 3rd world countries. No demand for my IT skills in 3rd world countries, they lag too far behind. So I have to work for overseas companies where salaries are higher and my skills are in greater demand.

    I am in the same position as you in that I can choose where I want to live. My 1st choice is Somerset West. 2nd Choice would be Stellenbosch (Stellenbosch would be 1st choice but Somerset West is just a nicer place to live, better property options). Try to get a house close to Waterstone Village in Somerset West, that is where the Wannabees mtb trail starts.

    I have tried Esi Chunky and found it to be too hard and not long lasting at all. Tried the Ergon grips and was not comfortable with the best padded gloves Giro Monaco, these grips are too hard. The best grips by far that I have tried so far was the cheapo Ryder silicone grips, much softer and longer lasting than Esi.

    What you mean is overpriced territory. Momsen Vipa frame is much better value about 10k cheaper, yet still not cheap.

    I do not like the Esi grips and these new ones does not look right, the middle should be more padded, but I have not tried these.

    Hahah PPA need to give at least half the entry money back I reckon. I would feel a bit unhappy about paying full entry price for this flattish half a tour.

    Hahah! How about enabling DSTV HD just for July and everybody pitches in who wants to watch TDF. Just remember to disable it quickly since DSTV needs 1 month notice before they cancel. Epic coverage is so crap not worth paying for it and can be watched on youtube.

    Can go through the fire why not? Roadies are used to car fume smoke, in fact I would like to go through the fire will make it more fun.

    What is the weight? Adding weight to the one tip of the handlebar is not ideal
