  1. Hi Jacques, do you guys have a MTB or Road club? I live in the area and would like to start doing some more riding during the week in the mornings.
  2. I am thinking about a solo entry for next year
  3. I recently got a new car that has the German towbar plug and not the std SA one. The bike rack I have has the STD plug but came with the plug that I need I just need to know how to rewire it. Any diagrams or step by step insturctions welcome
  4. Hi anyone got any experince with this bike rack?
  5. Ordered the 1.4tsi tiguan,
  6. I drove the 90kw 1.4tsi, it drives as well as if not better than my 320i, which although it is 10years old is a 2.2litre 6 cylinder engine. the performance of the 1.4 tsi is hard to belive I even asked to look under the bonnet to check the size of the engine! wow well done vw. It is by no means the fastest or most powerful but it is more than enough for your average Joe.
  7. What year and model was you TDI
  8. Would you say the 1.4tsi90kw is a safe bet from this perspective?
  9. Which one the 1.4tsi or 2.0TDI
  10. Spec for the two are 1.4 TSI petrol 90kw anbd 200nm at 5000rpm vs. 2.0tdi diesel 81kw and 280nm at 1750-2500rpm I currently drive a 2002 E46 320i whihc has 125kw and 210nm at 3500rpm at sea level and I live in JHB so take 10% of those figures off. Going to test drive the 2.0tdi the 81kw version to help me make up my mind. I have called around and the general feeling is that you get more money back when it comes time to trade in on the petrols than on the diesels so that is a + point for the petrol, The + point for the diesel is the extra 80nm of tourqe
  11. Hi any idea on the route and distance that you will be doing?
  12. Any other owners? or people who have experince with this car?
  13. Not I am in GP
  14. Sounds good. I think it is the way of the future, I am not a fast driver and tend to be a relaxed driver but it is always nice to have a little power for overtaking and driving uphill.
  15. Anyone have one? Any comments about the engine? Any issues? Thanks

    2012 VW Tiguan

Did a back to back test Drive of the KIA sportage and the VW Tiguan 118kw 1.4TSI The quality of the interior is much much better on the VW The Kia feels bigger but is alot slower from a stand still it also felt more sluggish up the hill that I tested the cars on. All in all the Tiguan is the clear winner in my opinion.

    2012 VW Tiguan

I think the sportage for equivellent spec is alot more than the tiguan. You can get a tiguan with, leather, bluetooth, Park assit, tow bar and climate control with a 90 000km maintence plan for the same money.

    2012 VW Tiguan

I am looking to buy a 2012 VW Tiguan, I have always been told not to buy diesel becuase the quality of the diesel in SA is poor and the maintence costs on a diesel are much higher than on a petrol. Also that diesel is hard to sell/ trade in becuase of the higher maintence costs. I am really torn between the 2.0TDI 81kw and the 1.4TSI 91kw. I dont do much lond distance driving mostly town driving, I dont tow anything so I am really looking for a car that is going to use the least amount of fuel in town/ traffic driving. Anyone on the hub who has a Tiguan in either of the above who can provide the consumption figure and a general overview of the car. Thanks
  20. Does anyone have a 1.4tsi that they can comment on?
  21. Hi I am looking to get Tiguan as well, which one did you get and are you happy so far?
  22. No comments?
  23. Anybody with any comments on the New Tiguan, Specifically the 90kw 1,4 TSI and the 81km 2.0 TDI. Vs KIA Sportage 2.0l Petrol
