  1. Do you have a carbon or alu Giant? I am leaning more towards the Merida as it seems to be more mtb orientated and probably a bit more comfortable? It will mainly be used for road riding. I want a comfortable ride, not a race machine. Then again, the Giant is +-11k cheaper than the Merida.
  2. I am also in the market for a gravel bike, either the 2024 Giant Revolt 1 (alu) or a 2025 Merida Silex 4000 (carbon). Any first hand experience?
  3. Up to water point 2, +- 900m
  4. Post some pics, list the parts...
  5. Oooooh! That cable routing...
  6. I'll do it later man, don't force me! I'm busy.
  7. With 400k, I can buy a garage full of bikes and even a garage for my bikes. That would totally be more enjoyable than 1 bike. pfffft
  8. If I jump into a swimming pool, do a momentarily transform into a bird and then into a fish?
  9. Did you contact Bearing Man, Bearings International or West Coast Bearings?
  10. I been riding my Tigre since 2021. My Tigre usually sleeps where we are busy with renovations now. I moved it into the dining room now for safe keeping. Last night I told my wife I like the the new spot for my bike. I can now enjoy the view while eating.
  11. I got this from my LBS, it extends your steerer. https://chaindrivencycles.com/products/steerer-tube-extender?srsltid=AfmBOooW8m40iQ7U_Zmzayp6obXkF8pKmflZsQboDucNWTOB1JzLQbiT
  12. Me and my Rapide did a 5hour K2C yesterday.👌
  13. What I would do in your situation: If I already did it on the mtb, it's time for the gravel bike.
  14. I am doing it on a hardtail, worn 2.4" Recon Races, front and rear. I only ride 2.4" tyres on my hardtail Edit: I'm lying, the rear is 2.35. Could not find a 2.4" quickly enough, after destroying my rear tyre
  15. I rode my Rapide with a 100mm travel fork at Wolwespruit and I never felt under biked or under forked.
  16. A locked dual suspension is just not the same as a HT bike.
  17. There is your answer, follow your heart.
  18. HT bikes = less maintanance = more money in your pocket = newer bikes more often
  19. GET A HT BIKE! Just because I say so!.
  20. Where and when can I take a 32" bike for a spin?
  21. I don't think the shiney new products have been tested properly. Titan should send me something to test for a couple of years.🤪
  22. Anybody riding one of these? https://www.stantonbikes.com/collections/gen-3-sale/products/switch9er-gen-3 or this? https://www.stantonbikes.com/collections/sherpa-gen4
  23. Maybe Bikehub can put watermarks on the photos that's uploaded for ads.
  24. Fork and wheels. I would rather go for a 36T Oval chain ring, but that is more a personal upgrade. Frames can only take up to a certain size chain ring, just make sure you get the correct size.
