HAHA, this was about a year ago when the guy told me this!

The place where I bough my Rudy, the guy told me he is putting all his Oakley glasses on special, because he doesn't want to sell them anymore.

The protective layer on my Oakley sunglasses' lenses has also started to peel. Now I got myself some Rudy Projects!!!

I would stay with a 26" bike.

I know that you will be covered if you fall with the bike and the frame cracks.

I really love riding races, but lately I ask myself, why would I want to pay to have fun, when I can have as much or even more fun on my own, for free!!!??? But if the races is in places where I don't normally ride, that 's a whole other story!

I had a Maxed, gave it away after 2 months.

Then you need bottles or a hydration pack. I think the reason why I hate hydration packs is the fact that I had a cheap one. Maybe a more expensive one would fit better.

I put one in front of my rear shock, one on my seat post and on the longer rides, I sometimes put a 500ml Energade in my middle back pocket

I use one bottle on a 40-50km ride, I just take a second bottle for just in case. I gave my hydration pack away. Never got used to it and don't like it on my back.

I wanted to upgrade my Merida with a Rockshox, that would have cost me R3000 to R3500. If I traded my bike at my lbs for a new bike, I would have gotten a new bike with the upgraded shock for about R2500 - R3500 more. Upgrading is expensive.

I would upgrade the tires, then the shock to an air shock (Rockshox) and then the wheels.

I right in very light gears... Try riding through sand with Lego wheels or maybe a bmx!!??

I love riding my 26" through the technical parts of the races. On the long and flat roads (and the sandy parts),I battle to keep up with the 29ers.
